Oh wow, thanks for your info hananiki! Since I will only stay for a 3D short trip there (and my ever 1st time to K), I dun hv much time to go through all 13 shops. If u think Shilla and DFS H shops hv better stock than Dosan Park? If yes, I would better stay at Shilla. Btw, I want to make a one time purchase and ask for B&K, so I need a target shop! Any tips for that? Hahahaa... Thanks dear!

Hi starstarz.... I think you could cover quite a bit in 3 days! Seoul is divided by the Han River into North and South, the Hs are quite evenly spread across these two and are relatively near each other.

If memory serves me right.... These 'sets' are within 15 mins by car of each other
1. Shinsegae Chungmuro, Donghwa, Lotte DFS (River North)
2. Shilla Hotel and Shilla DFS (River North)
3. Dosun, Hyundai Apjujeong, Galleria East, Hyundai Coex (River South)

Shinsegae Gangnam and Lotte Jamsil are not near other stores.

Unfortunately, I don't think I can advice you on which store as better stock, as it depends on their delivery. It has varied for me trip to trip. You might want to try a hotel near myeongdong, as the 3 'set 1' Hs are within walking distance.

And as for the B and K... Well, the Seoul Hs are not my regular stores, so I don't know have really good tips for you on this. I get my B and Ks from my regular SAs elsewhere. I just like exploring the Korean Hs for interesting inventory.

Perhaps as another poster mentioned, Dosun might be a good place to try since it is a flagship!

Just been back from Seoul for a few days. The stock level at Dosan Park is really quite good: Capucine CDC GHW, Bleu Saphire Kelly Dog GHW, micro Rivale and Kelly bracelets, all sorts of rainbow Hapi bracelets and Clic Clac... For bags, there are a few bi-color Jypsiere, Toolbox, 4 colors Double Sens, Lindy, super cute mini Berline, fuchisa Herbag, lots of Garden Party...

Bought a few items (around half price of a B/K) and asked for Birkin & Kelly, my SA offered me a Kelly 32cm in Etoupe, but too bad that I've got Etoupe already... I turned down and she offered me a croc Violet Kelly Pouchette!!!!! But it's around US$20,000!!! OMG!!!

Anyway, it's a must to visit this flagship store for every Hermes fans. Not to miss out the cafe Madang and the exhibiion centre at the basement. Good luck everyone!

I went to dosan park hermes on valentine's day and I must say the inventory is very good. They have almost everythin except b & k. Many Lindy 30 were on displayed, toolbox 20 & 26, a few so Kelly, many mini berlin, herbag, Kelly wallet, bearn wallets , CDCs in shw & ghw, kd & kd extreme etc were all available. Belts stock wasn't that good.

Dh had wanted to purchase two belts for me but the sa who handled my belts didn't correctly punch the extra hole in alignment, I had to cancel the purchase. Then hubby upgraded my vday present to a blue electrique bearn wallet in ghw which I set my eyes on the minute I saw it

I don't know how to get places by subway:sad:...we just use our car... price in Korea is MUCH significantly higher than in US...For example, my mom bought a jacket in mink at Hermes in Korea for $16500USD vs. it was $10700 in US years ago. Birkin price difference is really significant as well..leather Birkin by at least $1500-$2000USD more, ostrich Birkin by at least $3000-$4000 more, and croc. Birkin by at least $10000USD more in Korea:wtf:.

This is 100% true. Koreans are one the hardest working Asians around IMO and thus luxury items are exorbitantly more expensive than other countries.

I hope to swing by there before the next winter games. Seoul is definitely on my must see list.
