am planning a trip to Seoul next month, but was told by friends that all Hermes stuff purchased in Seoul has to be picked up at the airport, since all Hermes shops are owned by the Lotte duty free chain.....any truth to this? how am I supposed to pack then?

Not all Hermes in korea is duty free. If you buy from the regular stores you do not pick the goods up at the airport, you carry it out of the store like everywhere else. If you buy at Hermes duty free, then you do need to pick up the items at the airport. Duty free prices are generally much better than the local prices. Hope that helps!

Hihi,

I'm going Seoul in June. Has anyone been offered anemone Kelly or dark shades of blue birkin lately? Any advice on how to get offered kelly or birkin? Purchases of non bag items b4 asking for it?

Greatly appreciate all advices! Thank you!

I went there last month, I saw a lindy 34 in RP on display in Lotte Dept in Seoul, SA also mentioned they got a Lindy 30 in the same colour at the back.

I also saw a flamingo kelly wallet on display at the airport store.

Good luck:-)

Hi I had a great experience when I went to the Seoul store last year. The SA was very polite. A little reserved but I suppose that is due to their cultural differenc, and they were still very helpful. I don't speak Korean. I was still offered a Bambou Birkin.

May I know which store? Did you have to spend before you got offered?
