Oh my god the scarf is actually in my country and moving towards me by ground and I may have it tomorrow! A month long saga and it may have a very happy ending!
Henri Bendel Bags Anyone?

I got the refund today. Very pleased with CS.
Just bought 2 bags at a great discount from the Memorial day sale and I’m terrified by all the Facebook reviews (and some of the comments here) claiming the bag fell apart and/or lost hardware after minimal use!! I’m seriously considering returning them when I get them because of the horror stories! Please talk me down and tell me about your good experiences.

Especially that it is a gift.Which bag...? I have the No. 7 e/w tote in colorblock, and the purple Dalton tote, and neither of them ever gave me trouble. Any brand will have some issues, you just have to do your research and know what to buy.
I bought the Spruce Street crossbody hobo and the West 57th barrel satchel.

Are these the specific bags you saw poor reviews of? Or are they some other Henri Bendel products? Nice choices, by the way.
Most of the reviews didn’t specify a model; only that their bag fell apart. Nothing specific to the ones I chose.

I'm not sure how reading these will be helpful; if you do a search on Louis Vuitton, you'll find similarly disappointed experiences. However, lots of customers are in fact very pleased with HB or LV, and I'm one of them. It's either people who're disappointed, or superbly impressed who tend to write reviews, so they'll be skewed in one way or another. Unless you find continuously poor reviews of products you're interested in, I wouldn't worry about it.
Agree with lovingmybags. I think every brand has disgruntled customers. I have owned the Rivington Mini Satchel for a year and it looks great. I also have several cosmetic pouches and wallets, 2 of them see daily use and they have held up wonderfully.
One way to see how products wear is to peruse the pre-owned listings. The HB bags I see usually look fine.

I have this lovely HB bag that I bought a year or two ago for a wedding and I adore it - EXCEPT - the clasp on it has never worked properly. It never stays closed and pops open constantly. I don't wear it as much as I could because of that.
That said, it has held up great in every other way and I swear I get complimented on it every time I take it out. That color is

Pretty..enjoy. I have a few HB items. Haven’t had issues. A friend has a few..had something break...they assisted in a repair. We both take good care of our bags; if you do too, I am sure you will have good luck.
(This would kill me. What is the point of a bag if you cannot put anything in it if it doesn't close properly?!!!??? Another huge minus for HB, IMO.
