Help with Whiplash Tatum Tote

I saw the pictures someone posted and the teal Dakota looks more to be more of a green teal where this looks like a blue teal? Do you think it is like the teal on the Crosby? or Ellis tote? And do you think it is heavy?

I think it's a blue teal. Not very green IMO. I think it's deeper/darker than Crosby but I haven't seen the Ellis tote IRL. I personally don't think it's heavy. It's definitely not a "light bag" like the saffiano city totes but I never pick it up and think, "man this is heavy!"
I carry the mini studded large pouch wristlet, medium legacy cosmetic, archival card case, keys, iphone 6+, 2 bottles of supplements, & a checkbook in there and it's perfect! Could fit WAY more too.
I revealed a teal dakotah and it is the exact same leather as this tote.
That is good to know! I am curious why this bag is not in stores yet? It is not on any dept store site. When I called Jax they said they had lots in stock and you can order but had no info on if and when it will be in stores. Coach.com does not say it is an online exclusive. But yet the Chalk one is n/a til mid-Nov. Wonder if they will hit stores then?
I think Coach is staggering their releases into several waves. My guess is that maybe this will be a holiday bag?
I think the teal dakotah was a pilot bag, but my bag does not have a P or any other mark to indicate it's a pilot bag so who knows. There were never very many of the teal Dakotahs.
As for the totes I think maybe they will be promoted on the next website/floorset change? I am just guessing though....
I am waiting on this too. Want to see it IRL and hoping it ends up at a dept where I can get 20 or 25% off

My black came today and I am massively disappointed. Have to get to my kids' school for Halloween party, but will post pics when I get back.
For starters, it's just not as beautiful as yours with the silver hardware. I mean, I knew it was gold hardware, but I didn't expect it to be as shiny gold. I expected, judging from the pictures, that it would be a more muted gold. I think that would go with the aesthetic of the Vevers collection more anyway. The second thing is, (and I guess this is totally my fault for not paying attention better), but I thought the feather came on the bag based on the big picture of it in the middle of the new arrivals page. I think that detail makes the bag more appealing and maybe would have justified the price more. I mean, it IS on the other Tatum totes. Third, just not as big as the SA described to me - again my fault that I didn't look at the dimensions online and figure it out myself. She had seen it from another customer of hers so I just believed her when she told me it was the same in size as a bag that was on the floor.

I'm sorry to hear you don't like but I can see how you'd be disappointed with all the differences you were expecting. Honestly, I'm not a fan of gold hardware so that was one of the things that appealed to me with the teal, the dark hardware. You never know after a couple of hours, it may grow on you. I look forward to seeing your pictures.

Truthfully, I think its a gorgeous bag. The black and gold contrast well. Also it looks really good on you.
Well, i have to admit it you were right and after a couple of hours, it IS starting to grow on me. I also actually put on something black to see how it would look. I wear a lot of black and gray, but happened to be wearing a Disney Halloween shirt and purple leggings when it arrived so I don't think the tacky, kid-friendly outfit was helping
. My best friend and husband looked at it and said "Eh!" to it so that didn't help my uncertainty. I called my store an hour away to see if they have the tatum tall tote so I could go look at it and compare. I just don't think I am going to like that I can't put that one on my shoulder.
