Awww DG glad it turned out so wonderfully! :flowers: Hehehe before long you will be like my DH who knows everything about LV/Hermes/Goyard and always jokes with the SA's that he shouldn't know so much about purses. :flowers:

As much as you complained about the cost of the bag, you're a genuinely great hubby--even if you're a DG :p I'm glad you had such a great weekend and a special time together.

As for celebrity sightings, you probably didn't miss too much, lol!

This was such a great thread! I am so glad Mrs. DG loved the surprise -- and knew she'd love the bag! :love:

You may not realize what you just started, DG... my hubby gave me my first Gucci back in 1986 and then a Coach shortly thereafter... it's been non-stop since! And he is not the one buying them anymore! :wlae:

Thanks for sharing your story, DG! Reading this thread made me smile! :smile1: And although it seems as though you're still not sure the purse and wallet were "worth it", it sounds as though your wife is a very nice lady and she deserved it. Kudos to you for buying her what she wanted!

DG....I am so happy that this weekend turned out to be so nice for you!! I a also very impressed with Mrs. DG, and her response to the Wal-Mart bag!! Sounds like she was just happy that you tried! I hope it made giving her the Coach bag even better for you, after you saw that she was appreciative with even a Wal-Mart bag. If you ask me...that right there is worth $400!!!! You are a very nice husband, and sound like a stand-up guy!! Tell Mrs. DG to come and visit us, and show off her new bag!!

Aw! This was such a great thread to read. Sounds like you two had a memorable anniversary weekend. If my fiance ever ended up on this forum I would be so proud!
