New Chanel items are sold at Shops. They are not sold online.

This next bit is from page 11 of that link.

PHOTOS NEEDED TO DETERMINE AUTHENTICITY OF COSTUME JEWELRY

1) front and back views of jewelry

2) oval etching or oval plate showing the markings (CHANEL, MADE IN FRANCE/ITALY, year/season). A focused close up photo is required.

3) Chanel box with label, if applicable

4) black tag with label *showing the style number, year/season, etc), if applicable

Then have a look at eBay. Don't bother with ioffer because it is very unreliable.

From what I can see, necklaces on eBay are likely to be previous seasons, or vintage. But some people do seem to list fairly recent ones from time to time.

The main point is don't buy anything until you have someone from the authenticate this chanel link to give you the all clear. Don't buy unless you can see the photos you need in the listing. If it is all blurry, ask the seller to send you a clear photo. They need to set their camera to the macro setting or the little flower symbol to take a clear photo.

Also, do a search on the jewellery you like and on the left of the screen, choose completed listings so you can see what kind of prices things went for. That will stop you overbidding.
