Help! What year is this Chanel bag?

This bag has been authenticated already but I was curious about the year it was made. I know it's an older bag but is it vintage older or 10 years ago older? I've tried searching thoughout the internet with no luck. The authenticator suggested posting in general forum.

It's about 8 years old, give or take a year. The 2011/2012 bags are 15 series, this one is a 7 series.

The serial number indicates that this bag is likely from Fall 2001 or Cruise 2002 (released in December 2001). The quilting pattern is commonly referred to as "chocolate bar". The bag has no name per se.
