Help! What to do with stretched holes on my ears?

I am not loving the look of the stretched holes on my ears!!! I heard I can have it surgically done to reduce it but I fear it would leave a scar. I like wearing wire/hook dangle earrings and they make the holes even more visible!!! I dont wear heavy earrings at all but when I was younger, I used to forget and got lazy to take off my earrings and just wore them to sleep so thats probly what caused it to stretch out over the years. Not to mention wearing those gigantic pearls I had for over a year but I didnt even wear them everyday. I can only wear studs and loops now to hide it. Anyone got the same problem?

P.S. The holes are at the side of my ears, almost too close to the skin on my face, and prefer them to be in the middle. My studs dont pop out because they are way too positioned on the side. I plan to have them pierced in the middle but what do I do with the other holes? Surgery would probly close them but like I said, it might leave a nasty scar!

Surgery by a top plastic surgeon is the only way!!! It will solve the problem and is not a difficult problem to fix. My friend just recently had it done. If you google it you will see its a very common problem with women due to wearing heavy earrings at some point.

Oooooooohhhh!!!! THAT is good to know!!!!! Sol,I think your on a winner there!!! Especially as someone has more info on it than I do you can get a better picture!! Thats brilliant news Sharon!xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:heart::tup:

I can imagine its something you would keep putting off! My friend had it with another surgery (nose).

If you were only doing the holes, it would be a day proceedure. You would have stiches too, have to wait for everything to heal, then eventually get repierced.

And might I add, that if your ear peircing is the worst problem you have....you are doing great!!!!:graucho:

Thanks Littlesharon!!! Did the surgery leave scars on your friend's ear? Im really curious:confused1:

The studs are .70 each and it helps to have small earlobes. They make the stones look huge on my ears:nuts:

I will always envy you for that you tiny thing!!!! Mine are .75cts that are cut to spread .80cts appearance and they look the same as yours do on you!!!!!!(gggrrrr!!!!XX)

Good news about the other posters comment about the surgery though!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll ask my cousin who's a cardiologist if he knows some good plastic surgeons around. I heard from a friend that the procedure isnt expensive. Well, I have to confirm that first. Will keep you posted about it and if I do go through the procedure, I'll post some before, during, and after pics LOL Eeeek:throwup:! That would be so graphic :nuts:LOL And i really feel its about time I did something with the stretched holes. I fear they would stretch out more in years to come and I'll end up with sliced earlobes:yucky:

If its not too expensive or uncomfortable then hell yes!!!! I think you would always focus on them and be unhappy so do it!!! I am currently checking out Juvederm filler for my nose to mouth lines, same as you its a quick fairly inexpensive procedure,Hahaha!! We can share pics!!!!

there is really no way around it because in that position, you can't put weight on it to get the whole to start growing towards the outer part of your ear. if you REALLY wanted to and can wait.....don't wear earrings and let them close up (this may take up to a year or more, tho) and then get them repierced but unfortunately you can't do that unless they close because then you run the risk of them coming together creating one big whole. as someone else has already suggested though, if you want a temporary solution, use bigger backs.

my holes are like that, too but from having purposedly stretched lobs for the past 5 years or so. now i've taken them out so i'm just waiting for them to grow in again to wear normal earrings.
