I have been seeing commercials for The RealReal lately so, imagine they are quashing anything negative. I am glad things have worked out for people and hope they step up their game.

Most of us who authenticate are more than willing to support and advocate for sites that do the right thing. But for TRR to ignore messages without researching the validity of claims implies that they really don't care.

When someone complains, as did the OP in this thread and the buyer of the fake Coach keychain on the AT Coach thread, they do act on those individual issues. But as far as taking their own proactive approach, it doesn't happen. If a fake is sold (even after TRR was made aware that it's fake but didn't take action) and if that buyer doesn't know she got a fake, TRR doesn't let them know even though TRR was made aware prior to the sale.

THAT IMO isn't honest.

JMHO.

I'm pleased to report that this case has been settled to my satisfaction. I also really doubt that they will do this again to scarves. I think they have very much learned their lesson on this one. Thank you again everyone for your excellent suggestions.
I'm glad you reached a resolution with them. I think people who deal with them more regularly know they have a long way to go to achieve good customer service. I posted elsewhere recently that I purchased a scarf from them two weeks ago (Burberry, not H) and it was sent rolled up in a tiny TRR dustbag with a giant moth hole. Of course it was described as being in excellent condition - no mention of wear or a hole. I sent it back for a refund and when I went back to see it online, they had relisted the item with no mention of the hole. And they have another one just listed with an even bigger visible hole and it too is in "excellent" condition. I have purchased from them a lot (their prices are great) but they definitely have to improve in many areas.

No surprises about the:confused1::hrmm::nuts: moth hole shawl being relisted..

Apologies for the late post to this thread, but I just saw it 2 days ago. I'm so glad OPs issue was resolved. Before seeing the thread I had placed my first order with TRR so reading this made me very nervous while I waited for my purchase to be delivered! I purchased a Tom Ford bag (retail $2450, TRR price $1500) described as pristine condition. It arrived today and luckily the bag was perfect, but the packaging was awful. No stuffing inside handbag, handbag was in TRR mesh pouch that did have an unpleasant odor and no stuffing inside shipping box to keep bag from sliding around. I'm just glad the smooth leather wasn't scratched by the shipping container or dented by the strap. I immediately removed the mesh pouch and discarded it and I don't think the odor transferred to the handbag. All said, I don't think I'll order again from TRR unless I hear they've improved their packaging. Even though my bag is fine, honestly I'm amazed it arrived undamaged and I can only attribute that to luck. Fashionphile is soooo much better. My recent purchases (2017,2018) have arrived carefully packaged, lots of stuffing, safely tucked inside a Fashionphile dustbag, with the designer dustbag inside the bag. Sure, it's advertising for them, but extra dustbag for me!! FP dustbag are really nice, so I love using them for bags I have no dustbag for, or travel. I think in the last few years FP has really upped their game. Hope TRR pays attention to customers like OP, and to competing businesses like FP and makes some changes

I reported 3 fakes to them BEFORE they were sold, so they could take them offline. One of them was so obvious, they had the same pair of Chanel flats with lace for sale at the same time: one FAKE and one REAL!
Showed them pictures side by side, explained why they were fakes and they did nothing about it. All 3 items SOLD!
