Help please! Need a mom bag - Evelyne or Halzan?

I have both and I am a mom. I only use my Evelyn when I have to carry a lot of kids belongings on my purse as I don’t use backpacks or baby bags. The Halzan strap is too thin for me to use it cross body. Since you are familiar with Chanel, I will say that Halzan 31 is a little bit larger than Chanel boy medium and accommodates more but again due to the thin strap is not a cross body bag for me.

Ooohhh!! Thank you! That is actually SUPER helpful. I have an old medium and find it to be too small and considered getting a new medium until i stumbled upon E & H. Thanks again~

I have only owned 2 Hermes and I love the Evelyne. It’s so light weight and it has all the space that I will ever need. I’m not a mom yet but we are trying for a baby so when I bought the Evelyne, I had put that into perspective. I will have a diaper backpack but I don’t like putting my own stuff in the backpack in case I need to reach for it so the Evelyne will be the perfect mommy bag for me. I’m planning on using it to travel which I will very soon. Good luck deciding!

Congrats on your baby! I was just like you last year - doing research for a 'perfect' mom bag:). Now that my daughter is 5 months old and tried a few options, I'd like to share my experience. I have both evelyne and halzan. I use a canvas diaper bag to load up diapers, wipes and other baby essentials. I put my keys, wallets and phone in evelyne TPM. The combination works so well as I can put the large diaper bag with the stroller and the evelyne is big enough for my essentials and so light. I use halzan 31 or birkin 30 for longer trips when I need more stuff with me (breast pump, kindle, etc.)

I don’t think they ship overseas, but they do deliver at the local stores, in case you can get someone to bring it home to you...:graucho:

Glad to hear the Evelyne works! I like bigger bags, so was gonna opt for the PM. I didn't realize how small the halzan 30 is until i tried it on at the store, do you find that its enough for your stuff??

I don't carry a lot of things. Normally, in my halzan 31, I have my phone (iphone x), 1 calvi, 1 bastia, car key, house key, a cosmetic pouch and sunglasses. If I want, I do have room for a kindle and a bearn long wallet. Good luck deciding! I know it's not easy.

As a mom to two young kids, including a baby, I really encourage you to consider a crossbody. You will end up putting and leaving wipes and all baby stuff in the diaper bag, and your purse will hold your items like phone and wallet. A crossbody will give you two free hands to hold the baby, pick up the stroller, change diapers, etc. I never used cross bodies pre baby, but now that’s the best option for me.

Think im gonna go with the Evie first. just because the size and durability- i also carry an ipad everywhere i go, so maybe its the perfect starter mom bag~

Hey everyone!!

Found 2 Evie PM in my area - Black & Etoupe

I originally wanted Etain and/or Beton (something lighter with less brown hue) but i think the Etoupe is growing on me...

Will be pulling the trigger tomorrow, any suggestions between the 2 colors?? Is Etoupe easy to match? I have LOTS of black bags and not sure if I want another...
