same reason for why i think i love it! what size do you have?

Ive never considered the bolide.. will def do some research on this too!! or add it to my wish list for later :graucho:

What size birkin do you use? I need to slowly build my collection before getting that Birkin ! hopefully i will be offered one in a year or so?? and you are absolutely right about not knowing what i will need until the baby comes.. i think i am just trying to find an excuse to get another bag...

THANK YOUUUU!!! and thank you for taking the time to write this! its so nice to get the opinion of a fellow mom! i have the exact same concerns with the evelyne and the same reasons i liked the halzan better~ i wonder if this can be fixed swapping out straps for the halzan? I love the versatility of it and actually thought it would be an AMAZING travel bag as well, prolly won't need to bring multiple bags to short trips (which is great). think im gonna go try on both... :yahoo:
I would recommend the Halzan 31. It's so versatile, it's like 3 bags in one, cross-body, shoulder bag, and tote all combined depending how you want to wear it.

As much as I like the Evelyn and its price point Halzan 31 is my new favorite cross-body bag. The Evelyn, and I guess that depends on your height, but on me, 5'4", the large strap buckle always hit my neck and was very uncomfortable and I didn't like the wide strap wedged between my breasts. Also the Evelyn does not adjust to shoulder length unless you want it dragging by your knees or using twillies. I know you can change the shoulder straps, but if you buy one of the Hermes straps you are at a Halzan price point.

My Evie is an older barenia 29. It has no outer pocket or adjustable strap. The lack of them does not bother me but suspect a pocket could come in handy for stuffing receipts. I just put those in a wallet until I get home. I am fairly tall and always wear the Evie cross body. The length is fine and prefer it versus on the shoulder where it will surely slide off as so do some Chanel bags I find barenia goes with everything Halzan, I have been jonsing for one but have not pulled the trigger. Tried one on in the store and had it been barenia, it would have come home. Yeah I love barenia as you can probably tell.

Hi Jaaanice! Congratulations on your new baby! Enjoy every moment as much as you can!
I don’t have a Halzan and I don’t really like it, but I have Evelynes and other bags and I also have 3 children and I can remember how much stuff I would have to carry around with them.
Although I think the Evie can work well with an structured insert, I would suggest that you take a look at the Lindy, because it looks very much like a traditional baby bag in my opinion. The opening is really useful for you to organize and find what you need quickly. You also have inside and outside pockets for maybe bottles, phones or documents. The only downside is that you can’t wear it crossbody.
Good luck!

You’re welcome! Definitely try on as many bags as you can, including the Lindy. After you’ve made several trips out of the house with the baby, you’ll have a better idea of what you need and want in a mom bag. Who knows, your GP might actually work the best, not that that should stop you from getting another bag! For travel, of course [emoji28]

Unfortunately, I don’t think the Halzan’s straps can be changed out to a thicker one, but as long as I don’t overload the bag, it doesn’t bother me.

Ahhhh good point w crossbody wedge bc the strap is much thicker.... I’m 5’ 6”, I think I’m def gonna go try on both (hopefully they have both at the store!!!)

Thank you so much Leileka! [emoji5][emoji5] I actually LOVE the lindy. I used my aunt’s lindy on a trip and loved all the compartments everywhere!!! But hers was a 26. What size would you recommend? I think I will have to work my way up to have them offer me a lindy... but I def want one!!!!! And yes, the crossbody thing is pretty important, but I think the lindy can be pretty handsfree too right?

Will def try on everything!!! [emoji5][emoji5] I’m so excited and can’t wait to get to the store!!

I got my evie after the first baby and used it a lot the first year. However the amount of baby stuff has been growing, and even having my personal things and essentials in evie along with diaper bag has become too much. So i now have a huge and super light bag for babies’ stuff (have two babies now), plus super light cross body non H bag with two outer pockets and magnetic closure. As much as i love H bags they are either too heavy (including PM evie), or /and difficult to open/close... TPM evie is too small for my belongings btw. Cobgrats on your soon arriving baby !

Update: went to the store yesterday, they didn’t have ANY evelyne in stock, but did manager to try the halzan 31. Prolly a little too small to start? Will try another store to find an evelyne [emoji5] but they did have a herbag..... just didn’t like the color

Hi Jaaanice! I have a size 30 and it’s impressive how much you can stuff inside it, but in your situation I would go for a 34. I can even picture the baby clothes and other little things organized inside the bag. The space seems perfect to me. And you can carry it and hang it up at the baby stroller in many different ways.
Regarding the offering issue, depending on where you are it can be easy to find it in stores or even online, especially in size 34. Even in Europe it sometimes shows up in the website, you just need to act fast. ;)

Awesome!!! Will go take a look. I’m in hk, so EVERYTHING is always sold out here. [emoji31] I was afraid the 34 would be a bit on the bigger side. I LOVEDDDD and was so impressed with the 26!!!

Do you know if I ordered on Europe site how I can get it shipped over? Or I need a Europe mailing address ?
