Help!!! Need answers for Duties/Taxes for US buyers

Hi all,

I need help on the duties/taxes for us here in the US.

Do we get taxed when its from other countries, let's say Canada?

Like for a $2,000 handbag?

Do we get taxed when the shipment is from FedEX or UPS? Or how about just the regular postal service, USPS?

Just bought a bag and need advice please.

Seems to depend on the mood Customs is in. I managed to have an Hermes Kelly shipped from Canada declared at FULL VALUE slip through untaxed!!!
