I'm going to also suggest looking for a pre-owned Garden Party-I brought one and actually really love it-
It can go over the shoulder is really carefree looks good handheld and I use it when dressed down in jeans and white shirt or dressed up as a work tote.
Its a wonderful bag and you should be able to get a decently priced leather one 2nd hand its a real workhorse.
a timeless classic.
What size Garden Party do you have? Just wondering which sizes work well to be worn over the shoulder. Thanks!

Fjord is indesructable I love it its veiny and full of character. I own a Fjord bag (Jypsiere).
Fjord IS heavy
Personally I don't like evercolour but thats because I don't like pressed leathers but I believe its also very durable.
Vibrato is incredible and I want a Vibrato bag-I believe when it was launched it came with a little brush..someone could verify this.
I like the craftmanship involved in the creation of Vibrato-but for a first Hermes bag? I'm unsure perhaps a vibrato owner could advise?
I believe @Helventara has one.
@MidlifeFashionPrincess my first H bag was a vibrato Herbag purchased over 20 years ago. I use it rarely but mostly because I'm not a fan of the Herbag which I find challenging to get in and out of. Vibrato is stunning and, as @Helventara notes, quite sturdy though the exterior has definitely faded a bit when compared to the interior (the Herbag is not lined). It did not come with a brush but came with one of those small 'erasers' to restore the vibrato leather.

I’ve been looking at the Picatins! I didn’t think I liked them until suddenly I got it. Love it!
Here is a picture of my vibrato Picotin. It is the 18cm size, but holds a lot. The vibrato leather is lined (in box?)and that makes it stiffer than a regular bag.
It is a great bag however not very secure because of the open top.

@MidlifeFashionPrincess Have you considered the Paris Bombay bags? I haven't heard anyone mention them in this thread, unless I missed it. They are beautiful, offer the rolled handles that you love, zip top, several sizes......but difficult to come across. I have the largest Bombay in black and adore it
I have a Paris Bombay in a 40cm(black) and utterly love it-but as you not millions around.

I LOVE THE PARIS BOMBAY BAG!

That was the first bag I thought I was going to settle on. There are still some out there. Why did I not go that route? Two of my very beloved but less used bags are the Moynat Pauline and the Delvaux Brillant east west in lime green. This is a shape I adore, but somehow do not grab much. Go figure.

It is definitely on my "if I continue to buy Hermes" list.
