I've noticed that you tend to lean towards structured bags, but if you are open to softer ones (it's trending lately), look into the Hermes Gao. I have it, and its so easy to wear. Also, it's completely under the radar so you cannot even tell the brand.

I've attached a photo, please excuse the dirty walls as I'm at an automobile repair facility.
Love the Gao!

I always thought it was the L.A. tote.

I have cycled through a lot of styles. I would wait until you find something that you absolutely love
You will know when you see it. If I had to vote for a shoulder bag that was well priced and classic, I would try a Trim.

In my own experience, Hermes resale prices may dip in January (post holidays), but I’ve gotten the best deals in the summer.

:D cannot wait to see what you end up with.

Well heck, maybe I don't know. La Tote or LA Tote? Anyone?

I have "made up my mind," and then "un-made up my mind!!" several times over the last few days. I'm starting to think that yes, I need to cool the jets and figure this out.

I think I want Swift or Box, I think I want orange. I think I want small to medium. I think I like the Plume 28 more than I realized, but I also do like the Toolbox 20, but there are several others too.

But I'll do it. I'll join the Hermes gals and guys! I'm ready!

(I do have 3 Bastias and scarves, but an H. bag is other level).

sounds very exciting! I bought my first kelly from another member here and before that I experimented with herbag. Herbag is kind of a kelly but in toile. Plumes have a very special place in my heart, well my heart is an Hermes boutique display. Whatever you decide keep us updated.

I wish I could see a Plume IRL. The 32 sounds huge, but I wonder if it really is.
Its not that big at all (I'm only 5'3" and it works for me) I recommend getting a tapemeasure and making a 'mock up' of the bag in parcel paper or thin card.
32cm is roughly the size of a Mac laptop.
I don't know your budget but if its below £2000 be mindful that speaking as someone with a plume on my radar for a future bag purchase, prices of the Plume on the resale market seem to have risen considerably in the last year or so due to it featuring in the runway shows.

@nymeria is petite and I think she carries a plume 32 and a K32. She always looks very chic

Not a plume, but here are two 35 Victoria bags; a 35 Trim II; and a sellier K32. I’m 5’2”, medium build, size 36 Chanel; 38 Dior; 4-6 US

ITA with @maxroxxherhandbags’s suggestion to make up a mock version with paper or cardboard to get a feel for the size and shape of an unfamiliar bag. I have had both a 28 and a 32 and found the 28 suitable for my purposes, but the 32 works well if you need a bit of extra room. There doesn’t seem to be an abundance of plume options at resellers ATM but they do appear from time to time.

I’ve looked at 100+ resale H bags. Looked and tried on for a few years before purchasing. I strongly urge to purchase from a seller with great return policy because sometimes bags just don’t workout.

@880 I really enjoy all the outfits, food and travel pics that you generously share with TPF. Thank you :flowers:
