Yes I did try them on but it was about a month ago. I will have to go back. I plan on deciding before the rumored price increase in July. I don't think the roadster suits me but thank you for your suggestion! Just like you Lanasyogmama, I always thought I would get the tank too but I took a flight once where someone's beautiful large ballon bleu caught my eye. Ever since then i always thought I would get the tank for myself one day while admiring the ballon bleu from afar since i didn't think it came in a more petite size. However last month i stopped at the boutique and it was the first time i had ever seen the ballon bleu in small and I have to admit i was very drawn to it. i am so torn...tank=original love...ballon bleu=new love. I'm still torn. I just want to make sure I'm making the right decision and I love looking at my watch everyday.

Team Tank Francaise!

Love the rectangular face and the sleekness of it. It's very light on the wrist and easy to wear with any outfit. I've had mine for 4+ years and I love it so much!

Other investment watches tend to have a round face so it's nice to have one small rectangular face in the collection in case you plan to expand your collection later on with a Rolex or something.

I went back and forth so many times....initially I thought ballon bleu then tank then ballon bleu.....

Finally just in time to beat the price increase I decided to get a small SS tank francaise. It's just very appealing in a classic way. The ballon bleu is more eye catching initially BUT the bezel on the smaller model is oddly wide compared to the larger models. The ballon did look slightly trendy to me and even though i love the design of the "ballon" around the crown, ultimately I think the tank is the watch I will be able to live with for the next 10 years without getting tired of looking at it. Just thought I would update you all. I appreciated the feedback. No pics right now. Need a new camera battery.

Btw for those of you who own a tank...how loose or tight do you wear yours?
When they took out my links... right now it is a bit snug...but if they add one more back in then it will be loose enough for the watch face to turn all the way over to the other side of my wrist. Snug or loose? I REALLY wish there was a micro adjustment in between!!!

Congrats! The tank is always a classic! Enjoy it!

i've been wanting a cartier watch for at least the past year. However since i heard there may be another price increase i may actually have to decide between my 2 favorites. I love them both. I would get it in small since i have a smaller wrist. The ballon bleu is very eye catching while the tank is more classic. Please let me know your opinion and if any of you have modeling pics of either small model feel free to post as well.

Hmm, mine is loose enough to slide the watch around 1.5 inches up and down my wrist. The face can turn from side to side of the front of my wrist, but not flip entirely to the other side.

If I were you, I'd rather have it be a little snug than completely loose. Metal bracelets may stretch out more comfortably after more wear, I know jubilee Rolex bracelets stretch out over time.

I had the same issue when I got my Ballon sized. I chose the tighter fit, which took a little getting used to, but not I'm happy to have it safe and snug on me.

I am so happy for you! Please share some pics here!:D
