I read all of the comments here about sluxury and the only problem seemed to be with packaging and smells. So I bought a kelly from her and reminded her to package it well. It came packaged very well but the bag was not as described at all and it smells! The description said that there were several scratches. There are scratches all over the entire bag, some dings and slight color loss in 2 areas. I have sent her an email and I am waiting for her response. Has anyone had a similar problem with her? I am extremely upset. What should I expect her to do?

From what I know, that is mold, and nothing can be done except to kill the spores, which I have no idea how to do on an H bag.
Sorry this happened to you-- I am sure you're very upset!

I'm so sorry, LLB. Maybe if you can't get satisfaction from the seller, a trip to spa will help. But, I would think the seller would be willing to take it back.

Can you post the listing so we can see the pictures that were posted?

LBB - so sorry to hear! Perhaps contact docride to confirm whether it can be salvaged? Otherwise you might consider contacting seller again re. returning the bag?

Please let us know how your communication with sluxury goes.....the problems with the bag can be fixed, I am sure...perhaps a partial credit back to your card, to cover the cost of spa, would work for you. Its a potentially great little bag, I am sorry it was not in perfect condition...

I got a bag that totally reeked of smoke, and it was crinoline with herringbone lining...i thought there was no way it could be rehabilitated, but I put baking soda in it, and then turned it inside out to hang, and it is totally fine. I also had really good luck with docrides treatments on the dry barenia as well...

I know thats not necessarily the way you want to procede with the transaction, but do know that if you end up keeping the bag, all is not lost....

was it the 28 sellier????

I am sorry this happened!!!

When I emailed her she told me that there was no smell and that there were not many scratches.

I once bought a 1982 LV Speedy that smelled like that. What I did was put a big cloth bag of baking soda in it, and left it open, outside in the sun for days on end. At night I would bring it inside, and in the morning, out it went again.
Mold needs two things to grow: darkness and moisture. If you eliminate those, chances are pretty good that you can get rid of the smell.
However, if she said there were no smells, I would address that. Best of luck.

PS-- and I would be scared to leave H in the sun! Maybe call Manuela at the BH store and ask her opinion?

Yeah, she says in the listing that the bag has been in her closet most of the time; also the listing does not mention any dents, just small scratches. I think you should try to contact the seller and see what she says.

LLB I have bought my share of Hermes products from Ebay. I have sent EVERY single one of them to Hermes NYC directly after purchase. I don't even live in NY.
Every one of these items has been accepted with the idea that they might not be authentic.
I think that any "spa" charge is a small price to pay to find out if I have in fact purchased an authentic Hermes product.

The people at Hermes are not complete idiots. They know many of their products are sold on Ebay. I am completely honest about where I purchased these items.
I tell them I bought them on Ebay.
I am still waiting to hear about one bag. Every other Ebay purchased item came back as authentic.
If I ever receive a fake from any Ebay seller I would not hesitate to denounce them to this forum or to corporate Hermes.

Send your bag to your nearest Hermes store and have them send it to Paris for refurbishment.

Good Luck.
