It is great that finally some progress has been made! How disappointing this entire experience has been for you.

At last some relief! Glad it’s on the way to being resolved, despite the obvious hassle.
Thank you all for your support! The parcel will be picked up tomorrow by UPS. I hope they will decide for a full refund next week and then it's over.

I'm sure that you will get your refund swiftly.
I've had good experiences with VC mainly.
on one occasion they flagged up that a Jypsiere I had purchased was not in Very Good Condition as listed but picked up a lot of wear issues, providing photo documentation of this and suggesting a lower price or full refund/cancellation of order-I cancelled.
Only once on an inexpensive item of a pair of shoes they passed quality control and were clearly not as described but very worn-the seller had resoled the shoes so the soles were brand new but insides were very worn and edges too-I sent photos like you, got return shipping documents and they refunded me within a day of receiving them.
It was hassle and stress I could do without having to go through the whole process but once the goods were received I got my refund and a voucher to put against my next purchase.
I'm so sorry you had to go through this upset -I enlarged the photos on the listing and it does look as if some blurring is going on in the spot with the damage but what is NOT acceptable is that QC did not spot the cut.
I've seen listings of Kelly and Birkin bags on there listed as 'Fair' with rips showing clearly in the photos and listed by the sellers in the details-Your seller was clearly negligent in not listing the damage in the description and showing it and frankly I think she would still have sold it to someone desperate for a Birkin willing to accept the flaw for a lesser price.
What leaves a bad taste is her not disclosing this, using deception in the photography and VC not picking it up at QC

Thank you! UPS picked up the parcel today, so I hope they do the right thing for such a well-funded company and refund me soon.

Fully agree about their quality check and the seller. If it was priced at 4-5K I'm sure people would buy it. Especially if they speculate that Spa COULD replace the front panel at probably under 2K.

Makes sense. Would be very tragic if it happened at the seller's headquarter... on the selling photo from the owner this area is in the shadow and the picture quality not very good to begin with (see attached). So I would also not be surprised if it already happened at the owner's place. It is the only front picture (well and another one with background, but looking the same plus a bit of blur...). There I was hoping "it's just another owner with a bad phone and bad photo skills, but a good value bag". Will never buy another bag without well lit photos again. Even if I get the full refund quickly it's a waste of time and my funds are tied up when I could buy a different one. I start to see those high price purchases like stocks

Scary indeed. Doesn't feel like it's meant to be...
I think that bag was photoshopped. From your image I see a lot of artifact in that side of the bag.

The bag arrived at VC's warehouse yesterday. They told me it will take up to 7 business days to do the second review. I also wrote them that the seller should not have a Trusted Seller badge after this and the issues with the pictures. Let's see what happens.
when I returned my item that was not in condition described they removed the sellers badge even though I never requested them to-they said they were doing so.

Unfortunately Vestiaire refuses to refund me as they say the item is conforming to the seller's description...

So I sent them the following message

I apologize for using "measly hundreds of Euros" in the message. I know even a few hundreds is a lot of money, but I am livid right now and wanted to make a point...

Anyway, funnily enough the next message from Vestiaire into my inbox was this:

So I replied to the original message of the customer support member and will also send the same message via the form on their website and also send it to whatever official email address they have to make sure I have done everything possible for my cancellation to go through.

So sorry that it has come to this.
Your letter is excellent and let us hope that quoting Distance Selling Legislation at them will
produce a better response.

Wow that’s shocking. I’m sorry. Do you have recourse through your payment provider?

Just called the payment provider without telling specifics, in general I can file a complaint with description and upload whatever I have. Within 12 weeks. I will give Vestiaire another week to do the right thing and if not I will file the complaint. So the payment provider will have a look at it and probably do the first legal check and in the best case I get my refund without having to spend on a lawyer.
