It seems that the friends and family day vary depending on where you live. Does anyone from the MI area know when the dates are? I am from MI and would love to go. I'm going to try to sign up for a CC I don't live in the states so hopefully they allow me to.

Since paying the cc off will be a hassel does anyone know if it would be possible to pay the purchase off before I leave the store?

I am not sure about VA, but I live in KY and my F & F card has a return address of Atlanta, GA. I would think that VA would be the same time as KY. Our dates are April 25 thru the 29. You can ask for a card at Macy's. If they will not give you one PM me!

I went to Macy's today for the F & F pre-sale. The SA told me they had been busy all day. There were stapled shut shopping bags all behind the counter. I got my daughter a khaki signature with white mini-skinny to match a bag she got at the outlet last week and I go the multi color signature stripe mini skinny and the matching top handle pouch. They charged my credit card, but I have to wait till the 25th to pick up. The SA also told me they would be getting in new stuff prior to the real sale.

yes it is possible. calculate how much your statement is going to be (take your total and subtract whatever percent you get to take off for opening a new app) and tell the SA that you want to make a payment on your card.

its not ready yet! it starts may 2nd. I usually get it a couple of days before. If you dont get it, you can just go to the store on any of the days and they will scan it for you. they dont have them in the store yet.

when i used to work there, i used to get them a couple days before the sale too. they make no preference for associates :crybaby:

Yup! :yes: Last year during this event, I didn't get an 'invite' - I didn't even know about it! My boyfriend and I just happened to be inside Macy*s on the last day of the event and he was looking at some really nice leather wallets - mind you we had NO IDEA about the sales. He chose one (for me to buy him for his birthday.... lol) and when we went to the register to pay, the SA scanned some little paper thing that I had no clue what it was (duh! the coupon), and his wallet was $5!!! It was like a $60 or $70 wallet! :wtf: SO... I told him to go get another one - because he's so indecisive and he couldn't decide whether he wanted the black one or the brown one - so he got both! I paid a GRAND TOTAL of like $11 for TWO Fossil genuine leather wallets!!! We were both very excited... lol...

I :heart: Macy*s!!!

^^ Of course I didn't get anything for myself because the store was literally closing as we were walking in... so by the time I knew about the discounts, it was TOO LATE :crybaby:

... Not to worry though.... this year will be MY TURN!!! Lol...

Ok, today I went to Macy's to ask the SA about the F & F sale & when the sale would be here in VA. She said "I think on May 2nd or 3rd". I asked about the card/coupon someone had mentioned earlier, she said to come back next week, that they give them to their friends & people they like! Also, she said they would be getting new products in because of Mother's Day (don't know when the product will come in). This is a smaller Macy's, I didn't see much in spring/summery colors, only saw 1 medium Carly.

I was told the discount was "always" 20% for the F & F sale. The cc application says you get a 15% discount for 2 days, but an additional sign posted by the cc applications says "save 20% when you open your card today". So I guess that's 20% off, then another 20% off the discounted price; if I'm correct then that's 36% off? Correct me if I'm wrong (hey, it's late!).

you are correct.. it is 36% off! wow you re good! people think 20+20 means 40 but it is actually 36 or 36.5... it matters when you re buying something worth hundreds of dollars!
