Yeah...I couldn't resist and I got to chat with someone an hour or so ago from the customer service. The Ochre Havana is made to order and she said it'll take about 3 weeks. I've been wanting one for a while now, but I'll really have to think about this one.

Hi Doi; Collection production is totally different & truly is "made to order" by an actual person or a few(who have a small business in upstate NY) so I think that it is much less risky than ordering anything else-which unfortunately right now isn't saying a lot. That said, at this point I would also be wary that HH will be able to ship the bag to you in a timely & hassle-free manner especially given that you aren't in the US right? So it really is a toss-up. However-the Ochre is a gorgeous color & the craftsmanship & quality of the bag definitely justify the price point(it seems waaay more appropriately priced than non-collection stuff with all the QC probs!) IMO the made in US/supporting small business artisans is pretty cool too & I love the different print linings. I would try to TRIPLE check with Oana in CS that the Ohcre leather is truly available as I know there was an issue of them running out of the Mulberry even though they were still taking orders for it. I'm sure that was a huge help huh? :-s

I KNOW! That's insane! I wish they at least had the smalls in stock! I should've ordered a rose ramone when I had the chance!

Old HH all the way! I scored a gaza FInally after searching for so long, and I totally love it and appreciate the amazing craftsmanship in its design. No way could they ever make it up to those old standards nowadays.

I would still be a little wary of the collection bags. I purchased a Milton and it came to me all scratched up with unfinished edges all around the bag. For something at that price point that is made to order, I had expected much, much better quality.

jeebus - I am soooo sorry for everyone having CS issues. I was going to order another wyeth (phantom pebble or black) but am not going to do it now. Just not worth the aggravation. Has anyone had any success at all lately?

I ordered a mint pilot with a tan Wyeth at the same time as Mol Mol ordered her wallet and it seems like we both at least got those items (my pilot came friday) so some wallets and pilots are still in stock (for now maybe ??). The other items we shall see my tan Wyeth is supposed to ship late next week I think. I do really wish the site would say what was in stock. My mint pilot is totally cute and I love the color and it does have the HH studs. I think Fabae revealed one already so I won't duplicate but it's cute. I actually like the new interior layout better than the old (this is my first new pilot). :D So one little positive thing. :D

They've told me on chat on one hand, everything is now made to order, on another, the new turnlock collection bags that aren't online yet may be arriving in a shipment next (now last) week...and other conflicting things like, they now have an actual storefront/shop (not just an office...or mailbox) open in Long Island City which has a separate stock than the site (supposedly opened may 15th) and then from someone else, no, that's just an office (but the address is for a storage facilty). Who knows what is up.

I think they have much better control over that production process than they do over a factory in China.

That's very true. Part of my hassle - I'm assuming, because no one ever actually told me anything - was that the bag was shipping from Asia. They kept telling me they didn't know where it was, they were trying to figure it out. WTF? If it's made in NY, then it's a whole lot easier to keep track of.

If you're totally in love with a bag and it's a must-have, give it a go. Only you has to be comfortable with your purchase.

That might pose a problem, but again - we're not talking about Asia to the U.S. to outside of U.S.

so if everything is "made to order" is that 25% code for the pre-order promise useless? I thought someone had said you couldn't use it on "made to order" items is this true?

No, I believe the pre-order promise was Toni and Ben's baby, because it went out the window with them. I know the HH site still has the preorder promise on there, but NOTHING is labeled "preorder," so it's a bunch of hooey at this point. You can probably still use it on made-to-order stuff - I did.

And everything IS actually preorder at this point. Let's not mince words.

They truly don't know their a$$ from their heads. Truly. No one over there is communicating anything to anyone.

I really do wonder what is up with the new people. If they want to do made to order I think they'd have to be MORE active on social media and tpf not less. Then you could get real customer testimonials. TBH if they could actually get the bags to you in time with less hassle I might be interested in some of the new bags. I wonder if they are trying to get back into wholesale to stores? If not why aren't they trying harder with individual retail buyers?

have you all seen this? I have no idea why they think it's worth this much and why they've stuck this random thing on the HH charm

I don't have any prob w someone adding a charm, but such an expensive one? I do think it's a base metal. Nice weight, but it's not jewelry.

Right! Add whatever you like, but something that spendy on eBay no less makes me think the seller's jacking up the price needlessly. She could totally sell the bracelet and the charm sep and have 2 satisfied customers getting exactly what they want.
