That would be a plus wouldn't it? Or here's a thought: how about enough oversight on quality control issues that people's brand new, far-from-inexpensive bags don't have straps & zippers breaking before they even see the light of day?? It seems like what little "consumer confidence" T & B had regained for the brand has been totally destroyed by new Mgmt/owners. Makes me wonder if they ever intended to revive & run HH or just planned to run it- into the dirt? I don't know anything about biz or bankruptcy but I'm starting to think there could be a financial break involved if someone takes over a floundering Co. & then claims that it's "unsalvageable"? Not much else is making sense at the moment... Sorry for everyone's CS struggles & I hope they get sorted out sooner than later! Thanks for posting the cautionary tales-depressing as they are-for the rest of us :-(

^^ Right. What's the deal? They perk things up for a hot minute with new products, much better cs, etc., and then this. Seems pretty strange as there was some overlap between the entrance of the new "managers" and the exit of B&T.

You know, I have been turning this over and over in my head trying to make sense of all of it. Maybe this is a possible scenario.

I just feel like Toni and Ben made a HUGE - and successful - effort to turn things around. I was totally back on board and in love with the brand again. Totally. And then this. It's all weird. Weird. I also felt like, at the very end, Toni's answers to our questions were very guarded, as if she was bound by a contract, and vague. For which I do not fault her! I'm sure there was some legal stuff there, but for some reason it got the hairs on the back of my neck to stand up - like "something's not right." That doesn't sound right; it's hard to explain, because I'm not faulting Toni, AT ALL. I'm just saying that there were tiny things along the way that seemed red and not green to me, and this experience I'm having verifies that for me.

If you intend to make a company viable, should you not have PRODUCT, in stock, that you can SELL? And should you not have presence at least in boutiques, if not in your own storefront?

Are the Collection pieces also made to order or are they shipped right away? I was taking a peek at the Ochre Havana a few days ago and I don't see the usual preorder/made to order date thingy.

Made to order except for whatever pieces they might have in stock (though the website doesn't indicate what's in stock any longer). Previously they said a 4-6 week wait for collection bags, if i remember correctly.

I got my denim pebble wallet today....the leather feels so weird....as if it's not leather...I'm going to keep it because I like the color and the organization is perfect for me but it def. feels different than the typical HH leather....

also my Hadley wrap cuff is supposed to ship before 6/10 which is Sunday so I doubt it will ship.....so now deciding if i should take the 10% or the 25%.....

My Kitana Shoulder didn't say made-to-order or preorder, either. But it was. I would say to call them and ask, but I DID that and was told that it was in stock. And we know how that turned out!

Thanks, nmr. Sigh. I was hoping against hope collection pieces, the Ochre Havana in particular, were in stock. I think I'll just wait until their "rebirthing" pains are over.

Yeah. I'm not trying to convince people not to buy or to hurt HH, but if the truth can prevent people from dealing with unnecessary stress in buying a bag, then I'll put it out there.

Doi -- I would say call and ask to see if your heart's desire is ready to ship ... But i have little faith that you'll get a straight answer, sadly. I saw quite a few collection bags in-store during my visit to Greenpoint in the final throes. I doubt all those bags have been sold. Most were Miltons. Havanas in chocolate and navy, i think. I did see the ochre IRL -- on a Barnard. Jewelz got that one. The color is completely yummy and she posted some great pix. I'd take a chance and order a collection bag if I had the cash. I think they have much better control over that production process than they do over a factory in China.

Yeah...I couldn't resist and I got to chat with someone an hour or so ago from the customer service. The Ochre Havana is made to order and she said it'll take about 3 weeks. I've been wanting one for a while now, but I'll really have to think about this one.

jeebus - I am soooo sorry for everyone having CS issues. I was going to order another wyeth (phantom pebble or black) but am not going to do it now. Just not worth the aggravation. Has anyone had any success at all lately?
