I have, a few times. Not necessarily ‘leave’, but i have tried to latch onto other brands - Gucci, Chloe, Mulberry, YSL, Prada to name some - but always seem to get pulled back to Louis. Even if I really enjoy the other brand item, something brings me back.

It was my first designer piece, 15 or so years ago (Speedy 25 mono). Maybe it is just part of my soul now. I’m not sure I’ll ever leave...

I don’t think I’ve ever been dedicated to one brand. LV was my first premier designer brand though (got a Trevi PM ages ago-now sold). I do wish I kind of stuck with LV more a couple years ago when prices were “reasonable”, because I find myself still wanting to get the classic handbags like the Speedy and Alma. I went through a Balenciaga and Givenchy phase then and now I don’t even feel like using those bags anymore.

Yes. Not so much stop buying LV or "leave", but I did go through a period where I was mostly buying other brands (more contemporary brands like Vivienne Westwood, Paul Smith, D&G, Coach, Marc by Marc Jacobs). I've sold most of these bags, because I used them for a little while and then lost interest in them. Now my bag collection consists of mostly LVs, with about five or six bags from other brands. I only have Gucci, Mulberry, Longchamp and one Balenciaga in my collection now, other than my LVs. I like these other brands but I still reach for my LVs 90% of the time! Pretty much all of my SLGs are LV, at this point. I only have one or two small items from other brands that I never use.

Sorry to hijack the thread but please tell me where you sold your contemporary bags? I too am a LV lover at heart but went through a stage of adding contemporary designer bags now I want to sell these to focus more on bags i truly love but I'm finding it hard to sell these.

I don't think I ever really left, but I also have worn different brands. However, I only like the LV canvas bags, and the prices now are just crazy, in my opinion. A lot of the luxury brands have gone the way of fast fashion with a style here today and gone tomorrow, and that also does not interest me. When I do see something I might consider, it is out of stock with no indication as to when it will be available. I still love and wear the bags I have but buying new at the current prices now or what they will climb to is not in my future, lol.

There is nothing left that interests me, and the years of quality control issues paired with antagonistic price increases have turned me off completely. The last limited edition release that caught my attention was the Steven Sprouse Roses collection in 2008-2009.
Lol..I cannot part with my roses pochette I purchased back in the day! I recall it being $500 (which was a lot) and I bought an extra strap for it for $200. I still love it.

LV is still my favorite designer although I've had other brands. There's something about the toughness and timelessness of them that keeps me hooked. I stopped buying much of their more trendy bags about five years ago because I would tire of them. I stick mostly to the classics now. I also like Gucci sometimes and BV. I had some Chanel but rarely carried them so I sold all but one WOC which I still use.

I am also totally addicted to lv. It also was my very first luxury bag, a PA in DE (preloved) and then a speedy 30 DE (new), both 6 years ago now. Since then I am super addicted. Only while pregnancy and good 6 months after I didn’t looked at any designer or brands or bags in general. I also owned Chloe and YSL. And I also still got Gucci and givenchy in my collection. I really lost my interest in Gucci because it’s way too overhyped,
While lv still maintains their status as a classic brand. I also like the fact that lv also comes up with trendy pieces, so there is for everyone something. Yes, lv did change their price, so the items don’t loose their value. But Chanel and Hermès are also doing the Same and even if I would have the money, which I don’t have, I could never spent 6k € on a bag.

Yes, I feel like I'm doing a very slow break up right now. My last two bags were Celine and Loewe. I think I have bought as many LV silhouettes as I need for now. I have both leather and canvas LV, I have travel and day to day LV, I have big, medium, and small LV, I have hand carry, shoulder carry and crossbody LV, some LE's....I guess you would say I have an LV bag (and SLG!) for every occasion and style. To keep buying when the prices are climbing, and I already have PLENTY, seems bananas. And, I guess I have built a collection that truly suits me. I'm not wanting more.

The upside is having the desire to check out other brands and I'm really loving my Celine and Loewe right now. I carry them more than anything else at the moment.

Yes - due to not being able to waitlist for items I want or getting no reply from SA ( I'm in the middle of no where so can't just run into the store after work and look for what I want). I bought a Lady Dior ( which is owned by same company as LV anyway) for my birthday and it's beautiful but it's not an LV.
