Have You Ever Returned A Used Bag?

Not unless it's defective. Although, I recently bought a bag from Nordstrom and it seems to have been the display bag. There's dents on the leather, the lining is all weird, and the stitching is popping out. I called and told them to order another bag so I can do an exchange, hopefully they do not re-sell the bag.

Yes. The birkin didn't have the clochette and when they gave it to me, I suspect it want new. I asked for an exchange. It has been six months and they have not given me my new piece saying it's hard to get an idneticalncoulour and model.

Nope. Never had a reason to. I always buy my bags in person in the store so I can check them out and try them out before purchasing them. As everyone else stated, the only reason I would ever return a bag would be if it had some kind of defect. Other than that, no. I would never return a bag that I used and then decided I didn't want it any more. That's wrong and well quite frankly, rude, especially if the store you return it to decides to resell it.

I did once with a bag I used about two weeks because it had a defect (it didn't close properly)

Same here, only that the defect happened immediately after the bag was delivered to me. I kept it for 3-4 weeks because I figured I could use it as a handheld clutch instead of using the long strap. I did use it for I think, 3-4 days though, mostly as a handheld clutch. I ended up trying to use the long strap again, but I got annoyed and decided to contact the Company and ask them if they could repair it somehow. They ended up asking me to return it to the store for refund/exchange.

I forwarded the email to the store and they had no problems taking it back. Unfortunately I was stuck with store credit but at least I got rid of the bag. It was extremely disappointing.

I think my story is a bit different from all the other posts on this thread. A couple of years ago I had a girl friend who was kind of serial returner. She used to buy a "it" bag and use it in a special occasion and then return it to the shop.

I could not stop her from doing that, but I think there are some people like her out there who just buy the bag, use it for a while and then return it.

Is it only me who saw my friend did that or you also have observed such a behavior?
