I added the D rings on the top of the bag and then cut up an unused belt to make a short top handle.

Just finished this painting on a vintage Coach Janice’s Legacy bag inspired by French absurdism and surrealism ✌️
I wanted a red wallet. I did not want to spend money to get that red wallet. I had red paint, and patience. Priceless, and I love my new Comme des Garcons 3/4 zip wallet!!! I think it took four coats to get great coverage (less over the cloth zipper), which makes sense. I took days to do this, so really, in the meditative world of creativity, I lost count.

What incredible patience to paint it so meticulously....and i think the pattern looks much better in red than the original ivory colorI wanted a red wallet. I've decided to clean and make-over a deteriorating purse i've bought few years ago. It's a Dior Montaigne Chris 1947.
The original paint was cracking and peeling so I re-painted into a little bit something else and changed it from being a shoulder bag into a crossbody bag.

I removed the attached shoulder trap on my bag and bought some dog chain clip to make a detachable bag strap

I’m late to this post but
I recently purchased a preloved LV speedy 25 in Damier ebene and it was in bad shape. Cracks all along the zipper, a hole on one bottom corner. I decided to purchase it and have it painted with a portrait of Selena Quintanilla (I’m a huge fan and have lots of her memorabilia). I also added some D rings to add a strap. Here are some pictures of before and after.
