Never say Never, but I hope it is Never because the NVF is my favorite bag. I bought my first last month now I own 3! and I want so many more I carry a NVF everyday

Nah I am willing to say it is not going anywhere - there are a few iconic bags of LV that are staples. Will they re-do a new design some time down the line - probably (who knows). That is just like the rumor that they are not selling canvas any longer - the canvas line is their bread and butter - what makes Louis Vuitton LV. Enjoy those Neverfulls lady as I love mine as well.

I do not think the NVF is going anywhere but in my experience when you say " Never" bad things happen....would not want to jinx the bag

I think it possibly may go. And actually if you look most of the just canvas bags are gone. They just have a few with no leather or 'extras' and all cost upwards of $2000 so it seems logical they want to move neverfull and speedys in that direction. Think Normandy, almost all canvas, almost $3000.
Lots of the neverfulls in classic style are already call for availablity on-line.

Oh I have looked at most of the canvas bags and also the look book that shows more canvas bags coming out with vachetta leather- will they be 1000 bags - no. Never denied the fact that LV wants to up prices on all bags including canvas. As I have stated in other threads that is what will happen is most bags will be in the 1800 to 2000 range for canvas with or without leather trim. The bags with colored leather trim are well over 2000. Neverfull and Speedy prices might change with an upgrade but they are not going anywhere. Darn near everything online is call for availability. . .they just got back from holiday.

My SA showed me pics of this new bag. She said that the GM size of this bag is bigger than the GM neverfull and it is more of a travel bag. Apparently she said the bag can fold up 10 different ways. When I heard that, it reminded me of Longchamp bags. She didn't know the price yet though.

They go in and out of "call for availability". They are available at least several times a week. Many of the bags and other items go in and out of "call for availability" at this time of year due to factory holidays during the month of August in France. And likely partly because people are panicking about rumours of them discontinuing canvas and snapping them up.

The rumor is actually they are moving to have their canvas more online, not less.

All I know is these rumours are really a benefit to LV.

Also, right now, on the LV site (US/Canada) I can order a NF MM in DE with both interiors, a NF MM in Mono in all three interiors, a NF MM in DA with the beige interior, and a NF GM in DE.

Possibly more often and not just during holiday recently canvas has been call for available which then when you call LV CS they tell you about a similar bag that is in stock that includes leather and is more expensive as they have been recently doing in stores. Interesting to see what happens with most of the so called classics in canvas. I personally think they are all just being 'redesigned' so they can be marked up and of course canvas will never be completely taken away.

Also most of the speedy's were like that too.
Not a biggie to me. I got over the Neverfull and sold all 3 of mine yrs ago and have never been a speedy fan. However I do think adding leather to the side of a canvas bag and charging almost $3000 is crazy!!!!!!
It makes me question my own common sense
But hey if folks are willing to pay I say carry on!

They have done every possible take on it recently and it opens the doors to other styles being introduced and bought if it's unavailable. Then when it is reintroduced it can be marked up and will have been missed. I bet it will happen.

I agree with you.. 100%. The neverfull may be discontinued for a while to create some hype. When it returns it will be at a much higher price point.
My bet is this will happen with the Speedy as well. Meaning the canvas speedy may not be available for purchase but they will be selling the epi speedy. When the canvas bags return they will be at the $2K price point.
