It took him over eight years or so to buy me bags.
Being a guy he'd rather buy me a new laptop, so I had the explain the whole bag thing over and over again...
And now he finally gets it :nuts:

This is so funny. Dh is the same. He's very practical. I think most of his gifts to me have some sort of electrical cord attach to it.

Yes he bought me a gorgeous Fiorelli bag...
it wasn't expensive, but I loved it :)
I wouldn't let him buy me one now due to the amount of numbers on the labels these days XD

Or MAC makeup now due to is horrified reaction to the cost, lol!

My bf surprised me with a Tokidoki bag for my 18th birthday. That was way before I was really into bags, but it was the first one that caught my eye. So actually my addiction is his fault! LOL

Yes, two years ago for Christmas. I had just started getting excited about TPF and finding treasures on Ebay. He went through my closet while I was out, looked at labels, styles and colors, then went to Macy's. Dec. 23 in Macy's...his head must have been spinning. I was so suprised! Mostly, because we don't usually do gifts for each at Xmas. We buy special food and liquor treats we normally wouldn't spend the money on. Although my tastes have moved on a bit, it's a timeless kind of style and I intentionally find ways to put it into my bag rotation. It was such a considerate and sweet thing to do, I still love it.

yeah, a speedy. but we got in a fight and he took it back. then we broke up. Now we are back together and he wants to buy the bag again. But i don't want it. lol

I had been with this guy 3 years, never bought me a birthday present before. Finally said this is over, I just cannot deal with this....there were other things besides the present issue. So he says "Meet me at the Coach store" He asked the SAs, who all know me what bag I had been looking at lately and they told him. When I met him there he said which bag do you want? I chose the Saffron Maggie. That was the bag the Sas told him I wanted and was already wrapped up and ready to go! Thought it was very cute the way it was done.

He did something stupid around July 4th and we split up. I did not return the bag per se because after 3 years of no BD or Christmas presents felt I earned it. To quote the movie Fight Club I considered it "a#@hole tax". But I did exchange it for the Anthracite Garnet as I did not want the Saffron Maggie to remind me of him. We work together so I still see him and never once has he asked why I never carry the Maggie! Oh well....guys never notice anything.

He hasn't bought any yet, but I think he'd know what to get if he did. I always point out stuff I like, and I think he knows my style pretty well. Plus, if he totally missed the mark I know he wouldn't be offended if I exchanged it for something more my style.
