has anyone bought a bag they weren't really crazy for?

I recently purchased the denim pleaty without having seen it in the flesh and when I got it was shocked at how small it was - I looked really weird holding it (and I am only a small person). Subsequently it is sitting tucked away safely in its box probably never to be used.

I love all my bags when I buy them but then I find the next bag of the moment and the others get no time outside - One exception:some years ago I was shopping in London with my BFand we went into a Burberry store - he bought a raincoat for himself and got me a beautiful Burberry shoulder bag - well I never really liked the bag, it just didn't fit in with my Miami wardrobe - so it sat literally unused for years in my closet. Now, no one seems interested in it and it is a classic style.

I have done this a few times:shame: I purchased the c/b retro and the pink perfo speedy and have never used them .. they were impulse purchases and the limited factor was another draw card for me to BUY:laugh:

sarah you dont like the Le TAL....I love that bag...i think its my favorite from the suhali line bbeside the L'extravagant (sp?)

I think it's fun to see how we all here have different personal preferences  MissV, it's not that I dont like the le tal, I like it, but if I can turn back the clock, I would've chosen the le fab instead, now what I mean.. If I can sell my le tal to upgrade for the le fab I would do it in a heartbeat!

Yes. I bought a Croissant style because I really liked it then and really wanted it then. I regretted later on because it's too small. I still like it but I don't love it like I love the other LVs. I hardly ever carry it, and I think I may hand it down to my little sister :amuse:

Ooooo... I just love the Croissant! Do you have the Pochette, MM or GM?

I love Burberry!

If I buy a pre-loved bag, use it for a few weeks, and decide that it's not for me, I sell it. No sense keeping something around that is not usable. For me, the list is long: Monogram Petite Bucket, Monogram Petite Noe, Epi Sac D'Epaule, Monogram Trotteur, Monogram Jeune Fille, etc., etc. One of my worst purchases was a Monogram Sac a Dos Packall. It's too big for everyday but not big enough for documents. Perfect for taking on the plane, but I never travel. Sigh...

All bags I bought I loved in the first place but I was bored very quickly with the LV mono stuff (speedy, alma, wallet, pochette) because they aren't really me. They were just too loud for me and when I got my Paddy and b-bags they were just sitting in the closet so I sold everything and bought a Gaucho instead which I really love. I've been to LV yesterday because my SA called me to show me all the new things. There was nothing there I really liked and they had pretty much everything the fringe things as well. I liked the epi speedy but not enough to buy. I guess my LV time is just over because I found other designers who are more like me.

i regret that i got the soufflot (spelling?) b/c i just felt like i was carrying a stiff black barrel under my arm. sold it so quickly and always remind myself of this incidence to stop myself from buying on impulse!!

My not-so-loved LV bag is Vavin GM. I carried it for a while but it was just waaay too big and bulky for me. It has a lots of room to put a ton of stuff but then it's too heavy and hurt my shoulders. It's just been sitting in my closet so I am thinking about selling it.

It happens all the time and the latest bag that I purchased and regret is Furla. Since the boutique only offer store credit and there is no other bag that appeal to me, I end up keeping it.

I bought a Hayden Harnett Havana Hobo, wore it for a little while and like it but decided its not for me. The color was more purple than I expected aand its more slouchy than I prefer.

Actually cracks appeared on the straps after 3 uses, I told HH and they sent me a new bag. They had switched types of leather. So the new bag arrived and the color is quite different from the original and I don't care for the new shade at all. So now I am looking into returning it. Its brand new since its the replacement bag so hopefully I won't have a problem.
