I try to understand everyone’s perspective but her every move is scrutinized. The amount of hate for her on social media is disturbing to read at times. Must be so difficult to live with all that around them.
I’ve read that people believe she’s possessive (“grabbing” Harry’s hand, arm in public all the time) but I see pictures with him doing the same. IMO, I see two people who love each other.
Somehow watching the Queen's journey and September 11th coverage on the same day makes that other thread seem more striking...life is quite precious...imagine spending so much time on schadenfreude...obsessing about a stranger who has no power or impact at all.
I'm avoiding the news completely today. The human body can only process a finite amount of tragedy and loss before it shuts down.
ITA and that is why i have not watched it all weekend - there will be more and more coverage and all day the closer it gets to the funeral!
I've never understood the "possessive" narrative. Yes Meghan often reaches out to hold Harry's hand/arm and rubs his back/puts her hand on his back but Harry also often reaches out to hold her hand, rubs her back/puts his hand on her back, and sometimes he will put his hand on her leg/thigh. Harry and Meghan are individually very tactile with people so of course they are going to be tactile and affectionate with each other.
Also I'm always amazed by the amount of people that are so bothered by them being tactile and affectionate with each other when it was a known before Harry even met Meghan that he was always considered to be the most tactile royal even though most of the other members in the Royal family aren't (which is fine). Harry has always been tactile with his family (both the Windsors and the Spencers), with his previous girlfriends, and with the regular people he has met over the years. With Harry it has always seemed like being tactile has been helpful to comfort him in various situations.
These are actually some good examples of how Harry is a tactile person like I mentioned above.
Notice in one of the gifs he puts his hand on Meghan's back then her arm, in another gif he reaches out for Meghan's hand, and in the video that shows him opening Meghan's car door and closing her car door in both 2018 and 2022 Harry touches Meghan's back while she gets in the car.

Not a Royal follower, so I wondered about the story of the photo in the bottom left. Someone on the Twitter thread said it was heartbreaking and another comment about when "she told him everything going on" or something like that. Backstory anyone?
Also, Diana was very much a hands on, "touchy feely" mother to the boys. Not strange that Harry's like that.
