Seriously considering this one but I’m worried it might be “young” on me (I’m late 40s) especially in this color. It’s quite the departure from my black bags and neutral wardrobe but this color really knocks me out. 
It's a cool, bright pink. If that pink is perfect for you go for it. I can imagine that bag, wearing the same shade of lipstick, heels and a black (or brown, or navy, or grey) dress or suit would be killer.
I think it depends on what else you're wearing as to how it will look.

My friend said something very similar in terms of pairing it with dresses but she’s also more girly than I am. I rarely wear dresses, I’m more of a jeans and cute top/blouse type of gal. This color is just so gorgeous to me

That color is gorgeous! If it were silver hardware I'd get it and I'm in my 40s.It could fit my phone, but not will all the other stuff as well. With a phone it would have to be a flat mirror, credit cards/credit card holder, and that's it.
