Hammered Gold Alhambra - Still a long wait?

Do you guys think that hammered pieces are ever going to be readily available in boutiques? I don't like paying so much and then waiting for several months to get what I want.
This is me right now... In the boutique, I was told a hammered WG bracelet (haven't seen much reference to WG in this thread) would probably take a month or two. I really listened to those words and went for it with the 100% deposit. No way would I have paid in full for a bracelet if I had known that 5+ months later I would still be waiting for it with no end in sight. I can handle putting down a smaller deposit for a non-customized piece (as I did once for a VCA necklace), but now I just feel like a fool.

That is awful I hope you get it soon.

White gold hammered is a special, made to order piece, and there will always be a wait (because they are made to order, meaning they are made when you order them, and not part of the normal available line at all) and always require prepayment since it is being made just for you. Few people are even able to order these pieces, so you are actually quite lucky. I hope that you love it when it is completed and ready to be picked up.

Thank you very much for this info. Reading through all the VCA threads, I still can never tell the difference between SO and MTO as I have seen both reference a min spend and the acronyms used seemingly interchangeably so I can't keep them straight. I was not sure which kind of order I had... Regardless, nothing to do but wait and I am in total agreement with you- I hope I love it!

I love seeing all the close ups of the RG and YG ones on this thread. Thank you to all of you who post the eye candy here!

Yes, it can get a bit complicated, but be assured that your piece is not available to most customers and always requires some amount of wait and prepayment. I think it will be stunning :)

I have deposits down for all 3 hammered bracelets haha (YG, RG, and WG) so you're not alone!! Since we have deposits down, I assume we would get first dibs when they arrive to our boutiques!

i ordered mine with no purchase history through the flagship ny store (friend is kind of a vip and hooked me up with her sa) and it came pretty quickly within like 3 months or so. but my current sa said i was extremely lucky and now they are restricting this mto piece

Congrats! Was that WG order in this year? Or when did your current SA tell you that? I ordered mine in July and I am very much not a VIP, just a few pieces here and there…

Just still trying to figure out why my SA said it would probably be a month or two.

For yellow gold I ordered in early October and checked in this month and was told it would be a "very long time" and that they haven't seen any coming in. Starting to wonder if they hope people will stop waiting and use the credit to buy other things that are in stock so they can clear the inventory.

Yes it was earlier around spring of this year, and I got it by summer time! I saw my local SA in October who saw that piece on me and told me that. I felt a little guilty I cheated on him haha but he was cool about it

I placed an order for the YG hammered in July. Just found out (after also asking for updates in october and November) finally today that there was an issue with my order and it wasn’t actually placed. 😩 what!! 😓 starting over now luckily with a different/ local SA and feeling very jaded with little more than an apology.
