while i know this is a diamond thread, my ring is a blue topaz gemstone in pear shape. yet i still feel that halos look great on pears

thank you! 14.00 X 09.00 MM pear blue topaz stone (5.75 carats roughly) on a 14K white gold mounting. the diamonds are round pave. the facets are crazy! i get so many compliments. blue is my favorite color
I want to get a halo ring after reading this thread. I am in love. I am upgrading my ring for my 10th well 9th anniversary. I didn't know what setting I wanted to I have a solitaire on the way. The color and clarity are great. It is a little over 1ct (much smaller than some of yours--gorgeous!!). My question is I don't see a lot of princess cuts in your halos. I know they don't sparkle as much, but I do like them. The ring in my avatar is the one I am considering (princess cut in center). What do you all think? Should I reconsider?
