OMG that is exactly what I was thinking! I really wanted a Legacy as a ering but in a 3ct diamond it would have been sooo expensive so I opted for my Micheal B.
I also like the tanzanite Legacy...

I know where you're coming from, b/c we get our e-rings, perhaps an upgrade, we love it, and then a couple of months pass & we think, "Hmmmmmm............."

I get the same "itch" every now and then. But here are my thoughts on yours. Your e-ring is STUNNING.....gorgeous artistry by an artist. I would either leave it as is, OR, if you are going to pursue a halo.....knock yourself out & do a DOUBLE HALO. DH's seem to be very popular right now.....they look very modern, and are gorgeous!!
Price-wise I'm guestimating that a single halo may run you approx $2500-$3000K.....especially if Leon has to make a new setting....and I think he will.
My suggestion? THINK it over. Try on some halos with your carat size and see if that's the look you're in love with. You may be one of those women who won't be 100% happy unless she does it!! Kwim??!!!
But to make this even more confusing of a decision, I have to re-iterate that your ring is a work of art that most women would kill for.

I totally and wholeheartedly agree. I have never seen anything like your ring before. Not only is it unique, it is beautiful and undoubtedly a show-stopper. If your heart desires it, go ahead and halo it! But as everyone else has mentioned, there really is no need!

I don't want to do bulky wedding band with it, I already have the band with french cut stone set upside down (shown in the pic above together) and also Leon's micropave (string theory) diamond band.

You are right on.........it seems like I can never be completely happy with what I have?? LOL.
Hard thing is, there are not many jewelers around here who has Halo ring with 3 carat range. So trying on the halo style is very hard...........I wish I live in bigger cities....sigh.

Swanky, did you ever reveal what kind of setting you chose? I don't remember seeing your decision....
Whatever you chose, with your gorgeous stone and Leon's eyes.....the ring will be a masterpiece!!
Your ring is gorgeous.....and I think adding a halo isn't necessary BUT........IF you decide to add one or a double, have Leon add one as narrow as possible.....maybe 1.2mm? What I'm hinting at is to get as dainty a halo as possible- that would probably work.
Look.....you only live ONCE.....so, if this is going to haunt you, GO FOR IT.
