Hall of Shame: Post the Ebay H Fakes Here!

I had this scarf on my watch list but I'm definitely removing it now. Thank you for posting this.
You're most welcome.

And looks like they did not list the picture that you originally posted in this forum when you called it out as a fake. Hmmm...wonder why...:graucho:
Because some naive tPFer thought it's ok to message the counterfeit seller and tell him/her about why the listing was a fake. The seller specifically did not upload the care tag photo because he/she knew, why even inform???
I think from now on I'll just post only the main photo of the listing instead of any specific one, no more hints. Or just give up.

Chestnutty, please don't give up. I for one rely on your expertise and appreciate your advice. Probably a good idea not to give hints--some of these counterfeiters are really really good.

I agree…please don't give up! For every counterfeiter that TPF unwittingly helps, you're helping dozens (or hundreds) of honest shoppers not to get duped. You have saved me hundreds of dollars personally.

:hugs:

I agree - in one of your posts someone asked you to explain why it was fake and you refused. This prompted me to take a very close look at the scarf until I spotted the issue. Seeing a fake scarf and working out what makes it fake is helping us all tremendously!

Fabfashion, nana845, Portoar - Thanks so much for your encouragement. It really made me think that giving up is too easy an option for me.
I know there are many scarfies out there who are much more seasoned than me and much more knowledgeable than me who read this thread but often don't post, so hopefully we will get them join in soon.

Chestnutty, you and others here are much appreciated and not thanked often enough. I never trust my own judgement enough to post, but now that I have a fairly large database of known-to-be authentic scarves will try to be a bit more bold in helping out. That said, I don't think many of us, certainly including me, would EVER believe our knowledge is as reliable as yours, so thank you!

Blatant fake but just so that everyone is aware, Fall '13 fakes are already here. Be careful.

Thanks for the heads up. It's good to have our radars up for the next wave of fakes (I know I've mixed my metaphors there).
