got the shields they fit perfectly BUT...

they are almost impossible to put on perfectly unless you wear latex gloves because even the edge of my fingerprint left an impression on the adhesive which shows on the mirrored finish of platinum hardware. not to mention if you didn't eyeball it just right any kind of lifting to reposition will leave marks in the adhesive.

if however you were able to do all that right then after removing the top plastic the shields are near invisible and kind of like a rubbery skin.

Just got a gold HAD for hubby fr Madison boutique. However, I see a fauve one available online. Can anyone please share your thoughts on the fauve?
Is there a significant difference for the additional $1k? TIA.

By the way I managed to get a HAC a Dos PM from an Hermes sales agent in Germany! Let me explain - over the years I buy mainly online, both the French and the Italian website. For some strange reason after I bought a Sac a Dépêche 36 from the Italian website, and the serial number didn’t appear on the invoice, I complained. Then this agent from Germany started emailing me. Problem solved and he was apologetic.
Then I could write directly to him and asked for specific items. I know I would never get a BK or a Kelly, so I concentrated on ‘man’ bags.
Anyway, when I asked about the HAC a Dos, he offered me this special one! I paid online and got it by post in 3 days.
I won’t post the photos here yet, in case they are actually ‘watching’ me! I don’t want to get this agent in trouble.
Needless to say, the PM is rather small, but it is very beautifully made. The Swift gold colour against the cream colour canvas is unique. I have not seen it at all searching google.
The look is very Kelly. The size is more roomy than my Sac a Dépêche 21 messenger.

Sorry if this is late - the fauve colour goes exclusively with the more expensive Barenia Faubourg leather. Barenia has been the signature leather of the House, it being a saddle leather of choice, and apparently resists water marks well. The newer Barenia Faubourg has a textured surface (like grain) making it even more scratch resistant. It is therefore more expensive than Togo or Clemence. Is it worth it? Not really. I’d go for the Togo Gold and pay about 10% less. But for some Hermes diehard fans, the Barenia Faubourg is a holy grail.
