i've known someone who contacted the reseller and the reseller was willing to send the item to their home. However, this probably because they know each other well enough.
i think jakarta's have good price compared to SG, just that SG got better inventories
fugmug, wow .. that's really awesome svc! hahaha ... there's a lindy size 34 in Bleu jeans in pp.
I think exchange rate also plays a part here. The last time I was in Jakarta, prices in SG were cheaper after GST refund.
Oh really, where did you hear about that? I am always convinced that her items are all authentic, but I saw a Chanel bag she has, worn by the model, and it has plastic bag all over the chain, and authentic Chanel never do it as far as I know.
Hi chanel_luv, i might not be that helpful... but based on my friend's experience who shop online from a UK store, she wasn't charged w/ anything when her package was delivered to her house. however her friend was charged about 20thou and the package was held at the post office.. so i guess it depends on the price of the item, courier and service? I know someone who can help if you are using EMS (which will be less likely i guess?)
Though I think it's very risky to ship it to indo since H bag cost quite a lot n will be considered as luxury item..they're charging you 25% at the airport if caught, wonder how much they'll charge you or even do to your stuff when they know the (real) declared value..
just an input![]()
Does anyone know if I ship bag directly from Hermes to my home in Indonesia, how much duty do I have to pay? Is there any way around it? I would appreciate the help for anyone who has info
Thanks a bunch![]()
Chanel_luv,
DO NOT send a bag directly to Indonesia from a store who would declare full amount of the items. You'll be slapped with fees big time.
I had a branded bag sent over to me, valued at $100 and USED and i was told to pay about 40% of the declared value. The officials even showed me the rules as to how much is the import tax for bags and so on
I don't know if they do that just because it was a branded bag or maybe because the import tax are just 40% for any bags. But i would definitely not recommend you to send a bag from anywhere and declare full value.
Not trying to cheat here, but would you want to pay $4000 for a bag valued at $10K?
If it's $4K though.. might be different
omg dont ever try this...i tried sending chanel earrings to indonesia and its actually lost in the mail...just gone no news nothin...and its unable to track it. hate hate this!

depends on your luck, 99% of the times you get to pay 40% tax
both by dhl and ems
even by DHL, a friend told me she must paid 50 usd for a zero value samples sent for her company
at the end of the day, i heard its cheaper to buy H from a reseller than getting them sent
