I'll be there a week before you so I'll post what the inventory is like! I hope I can score something good.

Good luck! I hope the inventory is great! Also, if you are hoping to score something big, you may want to get one of the credit cards that don't charge foreign transaction fees. I have one from chase but I am sure that most big banks have one. That will save you 3%. It has saved me some $$ !

FYI, just returned from St. Barths. they are starting to get good stuff in, and many beautiful things. I did not want nor ask for a Birkin so I can't answer that. The SA are just wonderful. I worked with a tallish male and I am ashamed to forget his name but I believe it started with a T...he was so wonderful and remembered me from a previous visit the same week. (yes I am addicted):D

ps. when I walked in one Sat. night, I ran into Kate Moss and her husband! (faint)

That's cool. I want to run into some celebs!

Any updates on experiences from recent visits? Anyone know if the store is opened on Sunday? TIA :D

I'm so excited for you!! I'll be in Vegas for MLK and am hoping one of the 3 hermes stores has some birkins, but I'm not hopeful. Based on your report back, I may have to take a trip to St Barth's in February! :p

Regarding Sunday... I doubt it. Most of the Caribbean is very religious, and the vast majority of the shops and restaurants close down on Sundays (at least in my experience)

I look forward to your Vegas report, as I'll be going soon after you!
I do believe St. Barth's H is closed on Sunday, but then again, I haven't been there in 10 years. Time flies! I still remember the excellent service, though, and holy cow, I think the twill cost me $180 with the exchange rate back then.

Probably right about Sunday. I will report back. Have fun in Vegas! Hope you hit it big in the H stores as well as the casinos!

Ohhh, wish I could get some twills at $180! I'm just hoping to relax and have some fun shopping! Have a great time in Vegas, hope you hit the H jackpot!

Sure! Let me know if there's anything in particular you're after and I'll keep an eye out for it.

I think I'll probably strike out, because from previous thread searches it looks like the Vegas SAs are all about the game which I'm not willing to play (there's freaking three stores, and I'm already working on establishing a relationship with an SA back home). I'll definitely purchase something if it catches my eye, but refuse to spend money just so I can fish for information on stock.

Sorry to get so off track on the St barth's thread! :smile1: Looking forward to all your reports back with my finger on the trigger for a flight to St Martin :p

I was in St Barths on 1/11 but there was nothing I wanted. I asked for a K or a B and they had nothing. Also, prices are in euros so everything I spotted appeared higher than in US. I did stop at Cartier and noted their prices in USD were also higher. I ended up buying some nice clothes there instead, stuff I can't find in the US.
I think Hermes was the only store which we were never greeted with 'bonjour'.
