Guilloche for everyday wear?

Sorry to be a pain but could you please post some pictures of the faint scratches? I am curious to see how scratched up the guilloche can get (and no one has posted any so far).

This may make me change my mind about getting the bracelet in the future

I have tried to take some photos of different motifs. Hope you can see the fine scratches I have there. Considering that I did wear this nonstop for several months, I think it still looks beautiful. However, I must say that I am not very rough with my jewelleries meaning I take them off when I am cooking, exercising, showering and etc. Equally, I am not the one who is super careful either. I just wear it as I like and enjoy^_^
Really hope this helps.
Happy New Year!

You are the best! Thank you so much! :hugs:

I already put a deposit for a guilloche bracelet but my sa said it was sold out nationwide so I'm not sure when I will be getting mine. for those who have the guilloche bracelets, how do you clean the dirt that get stuck in between the striations? can it be brushed with a soft toothbrush or just rinse with plain water?

I have the guilloche pendant and whenever I see it's starting to get "dirty", I just rinse it with hand soap then water. Sparkly clean afterwards. I would stay away from using a tooth brush...it seems like it could cause fine scratches if you accidentally scrub hard enough.

I’m still on ban island

And I think I want the earrings first! How are yours going? :graucho:

same darl, I think that is a great idea to get the earrings first. I absolutely adore mine. They go with almost everything:love:

however that being said, I am really excited to add the bracelet sometime this year as the guilloche makes me so happy !!! It’s such a stunning and unique motif.

Can’t wait to see what you decide to get !!

xo

Hi all,

My guilloche collection- 5M Bracelet, 1M necklace and vintage earrings

I wear my bracelet and necklace to sleep, shower gym etc I never take them off. So far so good. Fine scratches maybe but nothing major. I use a q-tip to clean the Guilloche (in between the lines) every now and then and that keeps it nice and clean.

In my opinion the guilloche is much better than any semi precious stone given that most are sensitive to water, perfume etc. Guilloche is solid gold and more resistant naturally.

I bought the necklace, earrings and bracelet in July 2020.

Beautiful. Is your single pendant necklace extended to 18.5 inches or is it the standard 16.5?

Hi it is the standard length, I never touched it. I have purchased an extender on Etsy (18k yellow gold) to hook on to any necklace should I wish to layer that day. Purchased here-https://www.etsy.com/sg-en/listing/681478085/14k-18k-solid-gold-necklace-or-bracelet?ref=yr_purchases

Hi. Thanks for posting that Etsy seller. Could you possibly share which thickness you purchased? I see that there are 4 choices for the 18k yellow gold. Thank you!

Mine has some minor scratches so I don't wear it daily now. I don't mind that so much, the thing I have to make peace with is that there won't be as much resale value in the future, I will need a buyer who's ok with scratches. I also have the carnelian and compared to guilloche, the carnelian feels easier to resell.
