Gucci Signature Plus!

So, I am absolutely in love with this "fabric" and I want to know more! Does anyone know the history of this material and why there are no seasonal items (that I have seen) made with it? I have only seen vintage items and a few others on the website using this material. In case you are unfamiliar with the style, please see my potential purchase below!!!

I love this fabric.

I am pretty sure this is PVC coated canvas. It is not shiny but very easy to look after. I myself am thinking of getting one, but too many bags, not enough $$.

I think this material is mainly used for luggage collection items, since it is easy to care for and good for travel.
