When I was at Gucci in Charleston a few weeks ago, the Sales Associate there told me it's going to be "retired" (that Alexandro Michele wants the items available to be his). I asked customer service at Matchesfashion if the bag is being discontinued and she said yes due to it being a style from a previous style director. Yet when I rang Gucci in Australia the customer service agent said it wasn't being discontinued and there was plenty of stock. . .

At any rate, I have just bought the beige and the black - thank you to Matchesfashion and @lcutli1
I am worried about keeping the lining clean and have been searching this forum for a zipped (if possible) insert that has been tried and tested in the Gucci Soho Disco. Can anyone recommend a good one please? Thanks

I had another chat to the lovely Sahara at Matchesfashion (she will give you free express shipping) and she said that the Soho Disco's availability will reduce. Sahara also said Gucci stand alone stores will get the most units but she also confirmed that Gucci has told them it will be slowly phased out. She also said that it's selling like hot cakes at the moment!

Btw, did you get that gorgeous coat of yours yet? I got my Sohos yet but haven't had a chance to unwrap yet. I think I want the matching wallet now lol

Hi all, I've been waiting patiently as I missed the navy and wondered whether they would ever reproduce it. Looks like not if they are phasing the model out. Strange that they have introduced the green and the black and white without tassels if they're phasing it out. Doesn't seem to make sense?
Anyhow, I think I'm going to bite the bullet and go for black. Would any of you ladies have a discount code you can offer for Matches or a similar store that you'd be happy to pass on to me? It would need to be a UK/European store.

Btw, I agree it is very confusing. I did speak to Sahara who is a style adviser at Matchesfashion and she told me what they have been informed by Gucci.

Thank you for your reply. I seem to remember last year 'rumours' of the disco being discontinued going around but it never happened. I guess the style can't go on forever? but why on earth release new colours if that was the case. That's what has thrown me. Equally, I can't imagine Matches getting it wrong........

I just bought mine from matches, with a 10% discount code thanks to @lcutli1 . I can't see it being phased out as there was a price increase recently in the UK. I think the style is so popular that they'll keep releasing it in the 3 colours (black, red, rose beige) and probably introduce the non tassel version in seasonal colours.

I plan to get one from Matches myself shortly. I need to rustle up another coupon code as I gave all mine away (thinking I'd be able to generate more by sharing here on PF), but now all of my posts offering to share my referral link to new users were deleted! (reason given: Affiliate links not allowed)... so, that's pretty unfortunate.

Anyhoo, I'm sure another I'll be able to scrape together at least one more 10% code and then I'll hold onto it for dear life. I don't live in the UK, so I'll ship it to family there to save the $100 on duties, and I'll just have to have patience until I can get back over there for the holidays!
