I'm new to Gucci, I have a lovely Louis Vuitton collection but this Disco bag seems to be something I need in my life!! So I am 5'1" and 100 pounds, and I would carry it as a shoulder bag, I'm not a fan of crossbody. Does anyone know what the strap length or strap drop is on the shortest setting? Also, where's my best bet to order one? I'm leaning towards black. Help would be appreciated as I'm so new to Gucci, thank you!!!

Any intel on the red disco being released without the tassel? I contacted Gucci through the website but they said they are "unable to confirm" this. Which isn't exactly a yes or no. I'd love to repurchase it without the tassel, which is why I sold my first one.

The newer bags seem to coming in without the tassel. (You prob know this already but) I've only seen the blk/wht and the green without so far, it does seem this is the way they're going though. Personally I think it is a shame to leave out the tassel but of course great for you.

Another handbag lover was pondering on whether it was because it was too close to Chanel's camera/fold-over tassel bags but really doubt it. When I got home I did a comparison (I have both a Gucci Soho Disco and a Chanel Tassel and) they seem quite different apart from actually having a tassel. The Chanels have a pronounced chain strap feature, are quilted and the tassels are purely decorative.

I like my bags stiff and structured so one of my biggest fears with this bag was the leather caving in at the back/top. Read a post from another member that she uses a Muji EVA pouch to keep the leather from indenting. Happy to report that it works very well!

This is the pouch I got http://www.muji.us/store/4549738971092.html

Size comparison.

Pouch itself with my everyday essentials (keys, compact, headphones, card case, coin pouch)

Same items in just the bag itself. I do lose some roominess with the pouch but I don't carry much so not really an issue for me.

Bag with the pouch inside. The top of the pouch sits right again the top edge of the bag to keep it from smooshing when pressed again my body and there is no interference when zipping the bag.

I'm 5'0" and around the same weight as you. On the shortest setting the bag can still be used as a shoulder bag. I think drop is about 20-21 inches and the top of the bag hits around my hip area when worn on the shoulder. Depends how low you prefer your bags but IMO that length works for me.

My soho has been my workhorse bag for the past 2 straight years. The glazing on the strap loops are starting to crack... does anyone know if can be repaired? I hope the bag will bring through many more years! IMG_1496819383.257173.jpg

Since you own one, I too, am about the same size and considering this bag which I've always loved in black. Can you confirm the actual dimensions to be 8" x 6" x 3"?

probably, but don't use it until you take it to a leather shop (or gucci) for assessment. that looks cracked at the stress point, so i think maybe it's from too much use/overloading the bag that would cause that. maybe rotate that bag more often with some others you have to give it a longer life. it's probably fixable, b/c they can either fabricate a new loop for that ring, or stitch the older one back in place if there is enough leather. but the crack looks a bit more problematic, so have it assessed before you keep wearing it and making it worse.
