Vert Cypress in Togo partly in sun partly in shade so u can see how color changes with the light
I've been looking around for a comparison between Vert Rousseau and Vert Chypres and stumbled on this thread.
Can someone show pics of the 2 colours side by side, or just even a description of the difference between them....I have searched the internet but the 2 colours look exactly the same to me

No pic at the moment but Rousseau has more bleu/teal; Cypress is more green than blue, and Vert Fonce has more yellow in the green and is clearer if that helps.I've been looking around for a comparison between Vert Rousseau and Vert Chypres and stumbled on this thread.

Hi Duna! I agree with @textilegirl. When I looked at a vert rousseau bag, it looked like a dark version of Colvert. Vert Cypress, depending on the leather, it a very dark, forest green. I have chamkila Calvis in vert rousseau and vert cypress one above the other for comparison. Vert Rousseau is a bit darker and cypress has more green as @textilegirl said.I've been looking around for a comparison between Vert Rousseau and Vert Chypres and stumbled on this thread.

But now I am wondering... @DoggieBags, is a Vert Comics calvi in your future (I don't know if they even make them, but hope they do!)...? My SA knows I am crazy about green and summer '22 she was telling me about some "Very Comics" that would be coming out soon, but neither of us had any clue what shade of green it would be.
Do you have any Vert Anglais?

I've been studying the SO colour chart but in the 2 leathers I'm considering (Clemence and Swift) there's V.Cypres in Clemence and V.Rousseau in Swift. So I'll have to think about it....Also I find this year's colour charts for linings aswell particularly uneventful, but that's another story.
Thanks dear! I think I prefer a greener green rather than one with blue undertones....My absolute favourite is Vert Foncé which is not offered ATM for SO, unfortunately.

Unfortunately, I have slowed down my purchases of calvis due to lack of inventory both in store and on h.com. Pre-covid, I would go to the store and my SA would unlock the drawers holding all the calvi and Bastia inventory and we’d go through the available colors and leathers to see if there were any I didn’t already have. Post covid, Calvis have become so scarce that they are now kept in one of the back storage rooms and my SA can only bring out one or two to show me. it’s even worse on h.com and weeks can go by before any Calvis pop up. I don’t currently have vert anglais or vert comics but vert comics is on my list of colors to ask for the next time I’m in the store. If I get either color in a calvi I will post a new pic. I also have to thank some friends who look at the calvi inventory at various H stores when they travel and text me what colors are availableI had the exact same thought!
