Greedy little ebay sellers!

That just sucks. I'm sorry you missed out on that bag. That would be great if you can fins out when the shipment comes in!! But I definitely appreciate you posting this because I learned that I can find discount Coach at TJMaxx and the Saks Outlet, so thanks! ;)

I'm sorry I don't agree. Trying to make a living is different than being greedy. Maybe the woman is old and nobody will hire her because she is old so that is the only way she can make money. One could argue that Coach is greedy for selling fabric bags for like 400 dollars. Don't get me wrong I love the stuff but from reading this forum there is obviously a market for this stuff so do you think people would go through the trouble to sell on ebay and not make a profit, what would the point be.

I think I would've gone up to her and told her you have been wanting that handbag really bad and seen if she would've given it to you to buy. IMHO, it never hurts to ask. The worst thing someone can say is "No." and you're not out anything. I've been able to get a lot of things just by asking.

But, I think you should try again by coming in when they get their shipment in. That's sounds like a good idea. Especially, knowing she comes in once a week!

I just had this happen online. Found a rare purse no one was looking at, then this seller (I know because their feedback has alot of the same items) came and bid against me. All so they can jack the price up! I'm almost too prideful to let them have it.

I can tell you as an ebay seller that TJMaxx bags VERY rarely sell for a profit. But, as much as I understand your frustration, that is how it goes. She can buy whatever and however she wants and if you're there first you can do the same thing.

I don't think she's going to make a living off tj maxx bags. They are not that great a bargain. She may make a profit but I doubt its lucrative.

I agree with court.
I am also an Ebay seller and its hit or miss with TJ Maxx bags.
shoot, I tried to pick up some of the little straw bee demis to sell at Marshall's the other day. Thought I was doing so great, got them for $61 each and thought I could definitely get $100 for them, since the msrp was $198. Looked on ebay, and they barely sell for $45. So, I took them back without ever listing them. See what I mean?

I agree that the bags at TJ don't go for so much on ebay. Everything I've seen there so far, I come home and check ebay and it sells for less there. Maybe there is an exception to this rule here and there but I wonder how anyone could even turn a profit doing that, let alone make a living at it.

no one can make a living selling Coach bags from TJMaxx or Marshalls. especially when you factor in that you pay sales tax and then listing and final value fees on ebay. no way.

I'm sorry you missed out. Try going on Tuesdays. I stopped in last Tuesday night and found that white duffle with gold trim you were talking about and the store had several other Coach items. A few others have mentioned that Tuesdays might be a delivery day. Good luck - something else will turn up I'm sure.

^^I agree completely. There are too many sellers out there who are like most of us, just trying to get rid of excess items, to make a profit selling *most* TJ Maxx bags. There will always be one listed for a lower price than the TJs bag.
