how much did he pay for your st louis gm in US dollars ? is there a significant difference compare to buying it here in the US ? TIA

I think your question is probably directed to me... My DH bought the bag (St. Louis GM) this morning (afternoon for him in the UK) and the price was 640 pounds (which equates to about $1010). When he leaves on Friday, he'll be able to get the VAT back at the airport, which will be approx 10% (since he usually gets the money back in cash). So, the total price will be about $910 (as opposed to the US price of $1170 -- save about $260, not to mention any applicable sales tax).

Louis PM is GBP450 (if you ship them overseas) and then the customization is GBP210 (in normal colours) and GBP420 (in metallic colours). Shipping is quite expensive at GBP95 though.

Price increase question doesnt really belong in this thread. I haven't heard of any increase but before the increase earlier this year, it had been four years or so since the last increase so I highly doubt two increases in the span of less than a year. I will ask.

Hi just want to know if the sac hardy was really meant to be used as travel/everyday bag or was it made for dogs because of the holes I see at the side? it just bothers me...

It was originally designed as a cat carrier. FYI I was told that there is going to be a new dog carrier; old one is being discontinued.

Hi Envy 1922 thanks for your reply, I thought no one is manning this thread any more 😉. You said originally meant for cats, but I see a lot of people are now using it as a tote bag , at least here in our country...so , does that mean that it is now considered a tote bag? I really like the look of the bag but also really bothered that It was intended for cats and that I might be laughed at for using it as a tote instead 😁. How about in your country? Do you really use it as a cat bag?

I think people will use it how ever they want. I personally would not use it as a hand bag, especially when I could put my cute 2 lb Yorkie in it :doggie:
Last year, I was conversing w. a SA in the LB shoe section in Saks and I brought up Goyard, he began to tell me how he saw this lady with the dog carrier and she swore up and down that it was a purse. Needless to say, the SA got a kick out of it. Anything w/ holes is meant for an animal.

You should just contact them and ask if they have a similar bag meant that is meant to be carried as a bag.

Thank you very much for that advice. It really helped me made up my mind, I think I will just skip this one and wait for them to come up with a new style that I like! Thanks for your patience with me! 'Til my next dilemma ! ;)

Okay! This just in! lol! I spoke to one of the SA's in Barney's and she said that women were wearing that bag as a regular handbag. I said, "even with the holes in it?" She said yes, besides a dog would not fit. I happen to have my 2lb dog with me and I told her that my dog WOULD:laugh: fit! She laughed and said I suppose she would.
So long story short, yes it's okay to wear it as a handbag!!
