yes. They did asked for it had received my new bag anyway. It's pretty fast. Got it in less than a week. Was lucky to not get taxed on my new goodies

Thank you! I just heard back: they want $150 to ship! I couldn't believe what I was reading! It negates the VAT refund, so unfortunately, I'm passing.

My DH is in London on business and just bought me a St. Louis GM. The exchange rate for dollars vs. pounds is pretty good right now, and the UK prices are still cheaper than the prices in France and U.S. However, when I suggested that he have the bag shipped to me at home here in the U.S. if the VAT return is greater than what he would get back at the airport, he asked the Goyard SA and she said the charge to ship would be 90 pounds (approx. $150). Insane. Needless to say, he declined and carried the bag out of the store himself.

Yup, insane...especially since it's such a light weight bag! I had a balenciaga jacket shipped overseas and it was a HUGE box and super heavy and they charged half of that, and it was for overnite service.

how much did he pay for your st louis gm in US dollars ? is there a significant difference compare to buying it here in the US ? TIA
