I need this emotional support lol! The mini is joining its big sisters, a small tan and medium black. But I 100% would get the small in black…
I’d originally planned on being more adventurous with a mini colour, but then I saw a particularly chic woman with a black one and was totally influenced!

@enjay, I was so smitten with my first Puzzle bag, an original Black Classic Leather Mini, that I bought two more original minis -- White with Black detail and Pearl Grey -- before they disappeared. Love, love, love them all. I wasn't sure if I "needed" a Small Puzzle bag, but also snapped one up for that FOMO reason. So glad I did. These puzzles will be with me forever. Incredibly light weight and wearable and completely off my radar until @880 wrote about her white mini.

24S in my country have the original minis at 10% below retail, and I’ve been looking for the black which never seems to be included in deals. So I’ve gone for it - definitely FOMO because of the phase out.

@enjay I’m in a similar situation. I just picked up the mini in cyan at AU$500 less than retail from a department store where I live. Definitely a case of fomo, but I have no regrets!

I hear what you're all saying about FOMO, and I gave into this at the weekend and purchased a medium puzzle in the classic/original version in sand. The SA told me that they are definitely phasing out the original/classic in the medium and mini but will keep a limited number each year in the small size but only in the satin calfskin (the ones that are currently on the website with the canvas Loewe straps and are - in the UK at least - £400 more than the small puzzle edge) and the ones in the classic calfskin and soft grain will all be in the small and mini edge sizes from now on. That was mine thoughts too - I was not impressed with the leather when I received my bag. Probably I’m biased because I mostly used bags in grained calfskin which has more texture and thickness. Nevertheless, I like the bag and keeping it.

It’s hard to tell WHEN it happened but the classic/smooth calfskin became average type leather about 2 years ago. However the grained calf puzzles are still of high quality. Loewe (LVMH) are on the fast track now to sell, sell, sell.

What makes you say that? I have older puzzles in classic calf n they feel the same as those I’ve seen in store today. what did you notice?

Quality of the classic calf. No sheen, no leather scent. It’s just OK. It’s treated to the point that it doesn’t act like Loewe puzzles 4-6 years ago. Hope it answers your question.

So did u notice the difference from 2, or 4-6 years ago? The time frame seems to differ…hmm..which ones are you comparing to?
