I need this emotional support lol! The mini is joining its big sisters, a small tan and medium black. But I 100% would get the small in black…Your FOMO is warranted, @enjay. You'll be thanking yourself for making this purchase every time you use your Black Mini Puzzle Bag!
Now, the question is whether you'll also want its big sister, the Black Small Puzzle Bag. I've got both . . .
@enjay I’m in a similar situation. I just picked up the mini in cyan at AU$500 less than retail from a department store where I live. Definitely a case of fomo, but I have no regrets!I just had a moment of weakness after telling myself I couldn’t justify getting a mini and should shop pre-loved.
24S in my country have the original minis at 10% below retail, and I’ve been looking for the black which never seems to be included in deals. So I’ve gone for it - definitely FOMO because of the phase out.
So I saw a Puzzle Edge at Neiman Marcus, and I must say I'm not impressed with the quality. The bottom of the bag showed some of the unfinished leather of the inside. Yuck

That was mine thoughts too - I was not impressed with the leather when I received my bag. Probably I’m biased because I mostly used bags in grained calfskin which has more texture and thickness. Nevertheless, I like the bag and keeping it.I saw one today too. The leather did not feel amazing and the interior was just so meh. I was really looking forward to buying one but now I don't think I will.
It’s hard to tell WHEN it happened but the classic/smooth calfskin became average type leather about 2 years ago. However the grained calf puzzles are still of high quality. Loewe (LVMH) are on the fast track now to sell, sell, sell. That was mine thoughts too - I was not impressed with the leather when I received my bag. What makes you say that? I have older puzzles in classic calf n they feel the same as those I’ve seen in store today. what did you notice? It’s hard to tell WHEN it happened but the classic/smooth calfskin became average type leather about 2 years ago. Quality of the classic calf. No sheen, no leather scent. It’s just OK. It’s treated to the point that it doesn’t act like Loewe puzzles 4-6 years ago. Hope it answers your question. What makes you say that? I have older puzzles in classic calf n they feel the same as those I’ve seen in store today. what did you notice?
So did u notice the difference from 2, or 4-6 years ago? The time frame seems to differ…hmm..which ones are you comparing to?Quality of the classic calf. No sheen, no leather scent. It’s just OK.
