Goodbye Puzzle bag!

I've just heard the puzzle bag is being discontinued! I actually was a fan of this bag and was close to purchasing it. The replacement in my opinion is a totally different bag (The Edge) that doesn't offer much apart from a much more comfortable strap!

I'm curious to hear if anyone else is disappointed?

I absolutely agree with you! For me the Puzzle Edge is a totally different bag too and it has lost its original character.

I'm glad to have one "original" Puzzle in my collection!

The Puzzle Edge can't squish down as easily bc of all those overlapping pieces and stitching. The Edge is a completely different bag.

I have one of each and I honestly consider the Edge a different bag, not a replacement. I love the design of both of them, though.

Exactly why I'm confused that the design has been replicated and presented as the 'evolution' of the puzzle, it's definitely taking a step back

My guess is it’s cheaper and easier to make.

While I love the original puzzle, I also think the edge has a more modern look and feel. An update of an old classic if you will.

I actually just got this bag in that color combo in Paris, only I got the mini size instead of the small. I admit I was disappointed that I couldn't get the original style. They did have some in the original style but I didn't like the color combos or the silver hardware so I opted for the newer style. Honestly it's still a super cute bag though, ironically, I find the look less "edgy" and more delicate than the original puzzle design (which works for me). Construction-wise, I agree it's definitely a lot easier to make and probably uses less leather, so I do feel a little miffed about that. But I just saw pictures of the sand color in the original and edge version side by side and I admit I am more drawn to the edge version. Maybe because the glazing matches in color and the structure is more neat.

I actually like the edge more! It’s more modern and elegant. I actually didn’t get a puzzle until the edge, got the mini and think it just looks much nicer than the original style

Just happened to check their website today and almost 90% of the original Puzzle bags have been replaced with the newer ones

I saw the opposite, actually I was surprised that there were a lot new colors with the old regular models, as I also thought they wanted to phase out the old model.
I myself also prefer the old model. I actually already panik bought a sand medium puzzle back in May and it was the best bag buy for the whole year (and I bought a lot from Loewe and LVs limited editions...). I nearly use it always except for work (too small for that purpose).

I'm such a big fan of the puzzle bag so I wish they would just release both in parallel. I have a medium one from a few years ago and it's still one of my favorite "all day" bags since it's durable and has a lot of space. RIP to the original, but hopefully the quality of the Edge bag is just as great!
