good online source for trendy, inexpensive jewelry?

TPF may earn a commission from merchant affiliate
links, including eBay, Amazon, and others

The first site has some gorgeous-looking (I think so anyway) jewelry, pretty bags, cute cards and magnets, etc by indie designers. It's based in the UK but will ship internationally. If you're interested, you could also buy direct from some of the designers themselves eg Miss Misa whose creations are IMHO simply beautiful and what's more, reasonably-priced.

I have a bone to pick with day-lab.com. I bought a bird necklace from them for $25. Literally, the day after I receive it, I find the same necklace marked down to $10 on their site! I emailed Amy, the site owner and asked politely for a price adjustment. Needless to say, I never received a response. I had planned to buy more stuff from her, but now knowing how bad the customer service is, I will never purchase from her again!

OK, this is the BEST THREAD EVER!!!!

I shoulda known that PF would be a great resource for referrals to trendy, fun jewelry! Thanks everyone! I now have countless hours of jewelry web site browsing in front of me. DH and the kiddies may not see me for, oh, like 3 days.

I just discovered Clothes-pin's blog. They saw some really neat fashion.

Crafters For Critters is awesome since all the products are donated and proceeds go to different animal shelters. They started with just greyhound groups but have moved to different animal shelters every 3 months or so. I wish my stuff would sell so it can go to the animals.

Hi sea4e, I hope your stuff sells as well. As an animal lover, I love what Crafters for Critters is doing.

Thanks Passerby! By the way, Earthenwood Studios' work is so much prettier in person. I got a butterfly, doughnut and beautiful tile. See any money I would make from my business goes out the door and into other people's hands! Finding other women businesses just means more shopping for me.

Shushopn, you're most welcome - that blog is brilliant :D Check out the links as well - that's how I find so many great sites. This bears saying again and again - the US & Canada have some wonderfully creative indie designers. I am in awe of their work (even though I haven't actually bought any of their stuff - does this make sense? :D )

Great thread! I love some of the pieces posted already.

Can I recommend my jewelry? :shame: I am an independent jewelry designer and make ALL my work myself in my own little home. I am on several different websites (see my signature). I like to think my prices are reasonable...I've even been told they're too reasonable. LOL

I am so passionate about jewelry it is close to an obsession. My poor husband. I've taken over our entire living room and most of the kitchen.

Anyway, I'm new to this forum and totally excited about it. I hope you like some of my items. I also do custom work.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone. :smile1:

As one who failed Home Economics/Art/Needlework in secondary school (the word "klutz" springs to mind) , I envy the above designers (and people like them) their talent and admire their dedication (against the odds - it must be an uphill battle having to fight the "big" recognised designers for the public's sales and attention)
