Goldpfeil?

Hi, it is sad that a very good brand went down, the last I heard they were selling bags for 199 Euros at a german chain of stores called Tchibo, which usually sells rather inexpensive products. But that was a couple of years ago. They may be available on the german e-bay as Goldpfeil Tchibo Collection.

I was wondering if any members who live or travel outside the US would happen to have more info about Goldpfeil from Germany. My sister has a beautiful briefcase and wallet by Goldpfeil, and I was looking through the site and fell in love with the a few of the bags there. Sadly, they do not have any stores in the US...

I was thinking of ordering one through a friend in Europe, but I'm not really sure of the price range, and my sis can't remember either. :)

Any info you can share would be appreciated. If you have been to their boutiques or own any Goldpfeil products, I'd love to hear your opinions too! Thanks!

I own a Goldfeil Kelly Handbag in Black leather with a gold/Brass very destinctive lock which is very rich looking and Understated.

The leather is like the EPI leather on a LV bags.

Came with a key to lock the bag. Bought it at Barneys in the Somerset Collection in Troy Michigan when they had a Barney's store ((1993 - 1995?). This bag cost $500 at the time. My husband saw it, asked the sales person if he could see the bag, and surprise it was mine!

This bag still looks like new and with Structured Bags being in vogue right now, it is still in style. But then again, I think the Kelly bag is always in style with a ladylike/Mad Men look.

Unfortunately I don't travel internationally or speak German, and I wish I could help you out. I too would like to purchase (another) Goldpfeil. In my opinion, the BEST bag I own.

My closet has, LV, Gucci, Fendi, Longchamp, Tory Burch. But My Goldpfeil is my favorite. Worth every Penny.

Hi,

I write from Offenbach in Germany where the factory outlet of Goldpfeil was/is. There is still a shop where you could buy original stuff from Goldpfeil before it was sold to Tchibo. There they are selling the rest of their Goldpfeil stock, once everything is sold Goldpfeil articles will dissapper there. The shop itself also sells bags etc, from JOOP, TUMI, and so on...
Yesterday I bought a very nice wallet, of course original, for only 39 Euros. I spoke to a salesperson and she said, that she couldn't image that the tchobo stuff has the same quality....

Thanks so much for the information. Hopefully I can contact someone there.

Hi CC! Welcome! I'd love to see pic's of your Goldpfeil. Sounds divine!

Here's pic's of my recent Goldpfeil "Vintage Find". It appears to never have been used at all! I can't believe the beauty of the leather on this old dear. . . . and the interior silk jade-colored lining is like nothing I have ever seen before!

I know this thread is old but I'm glad to have found this (though posts here were somewhat sad..)

Anyway, just want to share :smile1:
This is a recent purchase from a Japanese surplus shop. It's soft leather and is very versatile. I salute Goldpfeil! :salute::tup:

Goldpfeil is making really high quality
Leather goods. Now made in Japan. They have several retail stores in Tokyo and numerous stores around Japan that sell Goldpfeil. You can also order direct from their website. Great old brand that I'm glad to see is still arohnd. The Japanese owners have brought the quality to superb level

Hi Everybody,
I bought a Goldpfeil clutch ( at a flea market) in Bavaria, Germany about 20 years ago. It's not in the best of condition but I would really like to have evaluated and I am sincerely hoping you, here could please help me.
It would be much appreciated.
I have attached some photos—thank you for your time.

Funny to see that red bag pop up on TPF. I owned that bag, it was the first premium designer bag I ever bought. I purchased it in Baden-Baden, Germany, and carried it for years. Here is a photo of me with the bag, taken on another trip to Baden-Baden (and yes, my English cocker looks grumpy, she did not like being around the Christmas shopping crowds!). It was a great bag, I think I eventually gave it to the Dress for Success charity.
