Hi Gemmathilde and Grooviegirlie,
I have decided to wait. I dont know when the bag will be presented to me but if I do get offered within this year or next, I dont think Im ready for it yet. I believe the right thing should happen at the right moment. And the feeling towards this purchase at this time is just not right.
I will still go in to try on the bag if I get called. But I will wait to purchase it. Its a tough decision as but when I counted the number of occasions that I will use the bag per year, which comes down to about 2-5 times only. Also, just like Grooviegirlie mentioned, this bag does not fit into my current circle of social network. And to be honest, I think I got a little desperate since Im on maternity leave and Kelly is all I can think about besides taking care of my precious little baby.
I think right now I should still focus on my career and my family. I will be able to enjoy the bag a lot better in lets say 5-10 years down the road. At such time, the bag will be a lot more expansive, but I believe it should a much happier purchase experience. Not like how I feel right now, guilty of owing an expansive piece of art.
So guys, please continue to post your beautiful Kellys, I would love to look at them in the meantime! And once again, thank you all for kind comments and thoughts. I know I can always get help here.
Grooviegirlie - Just my two cents about herbag. It was one of the alternative item that I have thought about when I decided to get the Kelly. I have read up review of the bag (and youtubes) and I found it to be not that user friendly. And most important of all, the craftsmanship is nothing close to a B or a K. I agree the price is very attractive. However, Im at the point with my bag collection where I dont want to have just another bag. I want to have THE bag. The BEST of the BEST. So I decided that I wont settle for less. As you said our situations are very similar, so if when you decided to get your first K, please let me know. Good luck.
