Hi everyone, not sure if this is the right thread but I would like to ask for some insights regarding the wish list system in Europe.

I asked my SA whom I have a good relationship if I should renew my wish list for a K28 since it was expiring in a month. He replied that there is no need to do that since the boutique "knows" me and that it will come eventually. This was already a year ago and I have not received any offers...which I am not bothered by as my wish list is a push offer. I am patient and can wait.
Now I am interested in a Kelly Cut and when I mentioned it, my SA very friendly said he would "work on it". I noticed he didn't visibly make any notes in my profile. Although he did offer me some unsuitable alternatives on the spot.

My confusion is now to do with the fact that SMs are the ones approving bag allocations. So if a bag is not noted down on a profile as wish list how could the SM possibly know of my requests?

Again, asking simply for clarification. I do not need or desperately want any of these bags. I'm simply trying to understand the current system.
If I were shopping in Europe under the current conditions, I would not be comfortable having my wish not be on the official Wish List. While I personally do not believe the company line of "all bag offers come through the Wish List from a centralized corporate office" having your wish officially logged cannot hurt and only increases your chances. I mean, what if your SA leaves the company? Your wish would just go POOF!

Thank you for the reply! This is what I suspected too. My SA has been with Hermes for 12 years, so I think he also might be used to a certain way of doing things, which might not always align with the new systems.

Now, I only have to think of a way to bring it up without it coming across as demanding or pushy.

Hello ladies,

I wanted to know more about the wishlist system :)

- How many bag options are you given to add? Is it max 2
- Can that include exotic leather? I heard you can add 1 exotic and 1 normal or is the exotic wishlist only offered for specific clients?

I dont know if this varies from country to country, but where I live;
- 3 colours
- 1 leather and HW

So this means you will have to choose which leather and HW, and what 3 colours you wish for. I am not sure about exotic, but I assume you can wish for that.

So, I went to Paris this January. I am not sure why the individual SA in FSH was not able to see my US account. I had to create a new account in Paris then. (But, I do hope that the corporate - not individual SA - in FSH could see my both US and French accounts....?)

Do you know if the US corporate can also track my French account? (I don't think the individual SA in the US can see my history in FSH either...)

Thanks!

So, I asked an SA (that I currently do not work with) today and she told me that the US system can tell if one has received a quota bag from overseas. The US system doesn't say which quota bag it is but it will show up....

I bought two Birkins/Kellys in Paris in the last six weeks of 2023, and my SA in NYC cannot see them. Perhaps it takes time.

In May 2023, I was told by an SA in London that the Hermes global system only shows whether you’ve secured any wish list bags for that year. So all boutiques around the world can see that specific piece of information (number of wish list bags fulfilled) under your profile, which they can call out by asking you for your unique identifier eg your email address. When he checked the UK system, he could see what I purchased in-store and online within the UK. And according to that SA, apparently I had two accounts - one online and one store account tagged to my home address. I shop across different countries and he could only see the purchase history within UK.

A week later, I went to Paris GV and the SA there asked me for my email address. Again she told me that I had two accounts under my profile - online and a store account tagged to my home address. Interestingly according to this GV SA, my home store in France is FSH. I guess that’s because when I 1st started out shopping in FR years ago, it was at FSH. But most of my recent purchases and the biggest ones were at GV. She rattled of some of my recent purchases in FR and said she couldn’t see my UK purchases.

Come 2024, I picked up a QB in early February 2024 in Japan. Interestingly, when I returned to the UK and visited my SA in London in mid March, he said that he couldn’t see any bags under my wishlist fulfilled status!

So either the global system is slow in updating the details or there’s been some changes again.

I don’t think you can. My SA told me that only local customers could make a wish list
Yes, and if you are local in 2 countries? Is it possible to get in 2 countries in the same year?
I am thinking that they are checking profile by phone number and your name. But 2 different numbers in profile

I had a question about the wishlist procedures: during the construction of the wishlist, do they usually come out with the wooden box containing all the leather swatches or does it depend on the SA? I had one SA where she just asked me for general color themes without showing me anything, and another one where she brought out the box and showed me all the possible colors in a color family. Of course, I preferred the second method :)

I was asked about wish by the a4 paper (in color) there were colors for the 2023 wish list of choice. So you can pick 3 colors and 1 style of bag. That was my experience.

Have anyone got letter on email that you didn’t get the wish bag?
