Do you remember the name of both of them?I have these in black! I actually have the ankle boot and the knee high version, and the knee high version is even more comfortable! If they still have those in stock, try it!![]()

To me it makes more sense to chalk it up to a buying mistake and sell the boots and find a different style that actually works for you.Has anyone trimmed down the shafts of their Hermes boots? I am desperate!! I am 5'1" and while I thought I could pull off the Jaime boots, I am struggling as they come over part of my knee cap, making it difficult to walk or sit in them. I tried heel lifts and it was awful. Very uncomfortable! So that I can actually wear and enjoy these bad ass boots, I am now considering having the shafts cut down an inch or so to just above the side buckle. Is that absolutely insane? I found a great cobbler to do it, but nervous. Has anyone done this before with H boots?
@880 have you ever done this?
PS- I do not buy for resale so I am not concerned about resale value.
I don’t think it’s insane, but imHas anyone trimmed down the shafts of their Hermes boots? I am desperate!! @acrowcounted @880 Thank you ladies! I’m very torn bc I absolutely love the boots. I’ve had to do this with other designers but nervous bc it’s Hermes for some reason. 🤦♀️
Have you tried the short Jaimey boots? I’ve worn those a few times already. Much easier to wear than the tall Jaimie boots for me! Probably going to be my go to shoes this fall/winter.Has anyone trimmed down the shafts of their Hermes boots? I am desperate!! This is a very interesting option. Having tried the high Jaimes on myself, I decided it wasn't worth the discomfort and with so much feedback from my SAs, my personal opinion is that they are really badly designed. Do please keep us updated, I would be happy if it works out for you!Has anyone trimmed down the shafts of their Hermes boots? I am desperate!! I LOVE the tall Jaime boots! I just haven't had a chance to wear them yet! (I really need to get a tulle skirt like yours @880!) and even though they are also a little too tall for me, I will make them work because I love the look of them so much LOL! The short jaimy boots are just so easy to wear with a lot of different bottoms. I wore them straight out of the airport hermes onto a 12 hour travel journey with no issues! But I like the look of the tall ones better!I believe @periogirl28 observed that H has gotten so much feedback that they will probably issue a shorter version of the tall Jaime’s next year… (apologies if I’ve attributed this incorrectly and it was the post of someone else)
I bought mine bc this is the first year ever that I’ve been able to squeeze my calves into any tall boots. Probably a huge part of why I adore l them, but one has to be able to test and make sure one can walk and sit of course
My SA dislikes the tall ones. I picked up the short jaimys that she did recommend. IMO the short ones are more chic with clothes as well as more versatile. With some hemlines, the tall ones become oddly conservative lol
